Anybody else trying to qualify for the AMF world cup? We had the first session yesterday for the local qualification round. I had one of those days where everything seemed to go right (I even picked up a 6-7-10 on a half-hearted attempt in the very last frame). I was playing pretty good as well, but I got strikes off a few balls that I wished I could have had back as soon as I released them. I even had my new personal best game (280) , and finished with 221 avg over 9 games.

The number of qualifiers depends on the number of participants (generally the top 1/3 qualifies, so 9 participants means 3 qualifiers), but I can't imagine 3-4 guys will pass me up next week (there is a second qualification session scheduled). Of course, this is the "easy" part, after this comes the national final where the top player will represent Switzerland in the AMF World Cup.

I'm guessing in the States it will be quite a bit harder to qualify
