Default Storm IQ Fusion - Better than expected purchase off ebay!!

Picked up the Storm IQ Fusion on a whim after I did not win it a few weeks ago. Congrats again Blacksox!!

For $130 I got a very good condition ball that already had my perfect spans and is laid out pretty nicely, 70 x 5 7/8 x 32 according to my new pro shop dude. Looks like it was a regional pro's ball as it has the scribe marks that are typical of pro balls.

Had the shop drill the fingers for grips as they were conventional finger tip holes, and I resurfaced it. This is my first Storm ball and the scent of the ball is actually sometimes overwhelming. After the first night I had it in the garage, I could smell it when I went out there. It also makes my car smell like it as the balls are always in the trunk.

Threw it a little bit, prior to getting grips in it but since it did not have grips in the fingers, was a little bit off and not as comfortable. I think this ball with it's lower differential will be good for later games in the blocks in Reno. Could already tell that it was 5-7 boards weaker than either my First Blood and Disturbed, 10+ weaker than my Hyper Cell.
High Sanctioned Scratch Game - 300(12) Hi Sanctioned Scratch Series - 822(3)
    2016/17 Book Average=221, 2017/18 Composite Average=223
Equipment in the bag - Storm Crux Prime, Storm Physix, Roto Grip Idol, Roto Grip Idol Pearl, Roto Grip Hyper Cell Fused, Storm Sure Lock, Storm Drive, Roto Grip Winner Solid, Roto Grip Haywire, Storm Fever Pitch, Roto Grip Red ball spare.

    Rev Rate 400. Speed 18 at heads, 16.5-17 at pins. Axis tilt 10, Axis Rotation 55. PAP 5 5/8 x 5/8 up

Thanks, vdubtx UPS just dropped this monster at the door! It was inspected at the Utah factory on May 14 arrives in Florida on the 21st! Thinking strongly of a Rico layout. Good to hear that its ten boards weaker than the Hyper Cell. The scent is too strong, going to place it in the garage at sundown.

Thats weird. I would think it would be stronger than the First Blood and Disturbed.

The differential on it is less at .029(RG 2.49) vs. First Blood at .056(RG 2.48), and Disturbed at .043(RG 2.50). Less flare potential = less hook. Believe me I am no expert, but learning more and more every day. I am on another site that offers a "class" on layouts and starting to learn a ton about it.

I forgot the Zero Gravity has that weird low Diff.

I just figure with an assymetric core and a solid coverstock...it should have more bite to it than the symmetric Disturbed or the hybrid First Blood.

But, throwing and seeing trumps the numbers...so it is what it is.

im thinking about picking one of these up for my self because my rumble is starting to become very angular witch it shouldn't be at all and I have it drilled like 2 of my other balls and this one is the only angular one with a dif on.030 and rg of 2.55 because last ngiht tournament shot I had no line at all play 1 line it too agresssive over hooks so I moved 2-1 left still over hooked then made a 1 board move with my feet still over hooked then moved a 2-1 left again and the ball never hooked and we where on a 40 foot pattern patterns Im good on because of my higher revs.

but then I decided to play more to the outside and my rumble would over hook until I moved 5 board left with my feet and then never hook witch really got to my head and my freeze never hooked at all so I did very bad because of the ball not hookjing or voer hooking it threw my game right off including my spare shooting.

I got one NIB sitting in my vehicle right now and one that is supposed to arrive tomorrow that I bought off of Mike White
Not quite sure how I am going to drill the one in the box yet gotta think about it for a few days.

Maybe instead of amassing Zero Gravities you or Jeral could actually submit your VBT scores.
