I've never claimed to be "patient". And if I can't reach a high level bowling, I see no reason doing it. I'm not planning on bowling the National Tour or anything...but if 10 years from now I'm still alive and not at a US Open/Local Tournament level of skillset...then whats the point? To go out and roll 145 games and have casual bowlers tell you you're good? To bowl a 158 average waiting for lightening in a bottle that will allow you to roll a 238 game? Hoping to go to sweeps and get blind paired with someone that has a good night? I've never understood the 120-130 average guys that keep coming back season after season. Bowling is fun, I get that. But bowling miserably is NOT fun. If I wanted to do something miserably I'd go golfing so at least I'm getting some exercise and fresh air.

I was referring to the dedication and time you spend to improve your game and posting all your statistics. I don't think I've ever seen someone spend so much time and effort to get better at bowling. In five years from now you might be a averaging in the high 190's. I personally think you should buy 16 more balls and throw a different one each frame.

Well Bubba...you keep coming to the website and once Fall/Winter season ends in March...if Aslan is still bowling like a 1-armed dyslexic 8th grader...KRAZY DOLLAR DAYS!

Thats right...11 new, undrilled, original packaging bowling balls...some 15lbs, some 16lbs...I'd probably sell each one for $75 shipped to your door.

Thats a good deal. My loss is your gain!

Might be only 10. I forget if I have two Track balls or just one.

And SELECTION you ask!?? Well, I got something for everyone!!

    - 1 900Global
    - 2 Ebonites
    - 1 or 2 Tracks
    - 2 Rotogrips
    - 2 Brunswicks
    - 1 Columbia
    - 1 Reaxx

No Storms, DV8s, Motivs, or Hammers. Sorry. I had my eye on a Motiv I really wanted...but I didn't pull the trigger in time.

    Thursday Practice

Game 1- 149 I threw the asylum in this game even though I knew there was not enough oil for it and paid the price for it.

Game 2- 156 Switched to the Euphoria still having to play much deeper lines that I'm not comfortable with to even try to keep the ball in the pocket.

Game 3- 196 Switched to the plastic Spare ball first game I have bowled with plastic in a long time

All in all a waste of my time the lanes were too burnt up to really do much beyond practicing my spare shooting

    Friday Night Mixed League

This is my 4 person mixed league which I had high hopes for but has been a bust so far we are in last place and not really competitive most of the other teams have a least 3 people who can go 200+ we have one guy who is a serious 200+, me who is 180-200, and two women who are 100-120 average. I don't know maybe the handicap will balance this out as we continue through the season but at this point I think we are just going to get our heads handed to us.

Game 1 168- Didn't feel well and couldn't seem to get a line on the right lane at all carry was non existent for everyone and scores were low all around. I struggled with my release and getting a consistent reaction from my ball.

Game 2 161- Same as above spare shooting was okay but poor performance on the first ball was leaving some spares that were difficult.

Game 3 165- Basically the same as the first 2 games

I had the surface touched up on the asylum right before league which in retrospect may have been a mistake my ball was jumpy and I never found a line I was happy with especially on the right lane all night lowest series I have had in a while. Sucks was hoping not to have a below 500 series this season that goal is not done.

Sunday Win, Lose, or Draw League.

I am doing well in this league currently ranked #6 out of 24. 195 Average in this league which is 10 pins higher than my Friday night league.

Game 1 183- Bowled pretty well would have been higher but I left three splits in this game and missed two left side spares which I am still struggling with.

Game 2 201- Less splits and better spare percentage in this game still missed a 7 pin spare though or would have been better

Game 3 200- About the same as the other games still missed a 4-7 in this game or again would have been better

I had thought about not coming as I had a cold and after my poor performance on Friday but decided to tough it out and was glad I did. Won 5 out of 6 points for the night lost one game by 4 pins . I made an adjustment left with my feet and target and it seemed to help. Not sure why it worked but it did the oil seemed to be heavier on the outside of the lanes tonight than usual maybe its the cooler temps will see if it holds up.

    Good scores.

Yeah, I enver thought temperature would affect things much but this past season, with California weather, noticed that the lanes closer to the door...the ball hooked NOTICEABLY more than the lanes in the interior. I'd bowl one league on the inside lanes and keep going right, right, right...then the same ball on the same line the next night....on the lanes closer to the door and I'd be hitting Brooklyn over and over.
