Never cam across one yet. I figure I'll wait until a THS shot becomes "too easy" before making that leap.

So rather than wait and get good at bowling, I decided to join a PBA experience league after only bowling for 8 months and one THS league....There is supposed to be some kind of team handicap thing going on, but I'm not sure I understand it and it doesn't show up on our scores. Its a doubles league, and fortunately my partner is pretty laid back and doesn't mind the fact that I'm likely doing to drag him down all season long (of course its a short summer season anyway).

This past week, and the next 3 weeks, we bowled on the longest oil pattern I've ever experienced, the badger. I don't have anything nearly aggressive enough to pretend to hook on it, so I pretty much was throwing straight at the pocket with mixed results. Regardless I'm having fun, and hopefully will become a better bowler because of it, we shall see.

I signed up for one that was supposed to started on Tuesday, June 3rd but earlier in the day, I received a call from the guy running the league informing me the league would not be floored due to insufficient interest.

A friend found another location that had one that started Monday, June 2nd, and had enough interest to continue.

So this Monday I'll have a chance to see what this PBA experience thing is like.

i believe you will become a better bowler out of it, it will teach you to adapt to the always changing lanes. when you go back to a THS you'll surprise yourself

that stinks about the lack of interest, we fill 20 lanes so i suppose thats a good turn out, it's my first one so i don't know how to compare to previous ones lol. from what everyone says its way more people than last year so the payout should be almost a grand for 1st place, i'm in 8th right now

No. He'll just come back complaining it was oiled in a "reverse block".

I'm curious, 20 lanes, how many people per lane/team? How much do you pay each week? and how many weeks? and finally how many games per week?

$1000 seems a little high considering this Monday league supposedly is 12 weeks at $12 per week. I'd be surprised if that covers any more than lineage.

I'm also bowling in a THS senior afternoon league because the clock is ticking on that 11 in a row award. Gotta get one before it disappears Aug 1st.
