    I shot 189-124-155-223.

After the 189 I hate to say it but I did ease up a bit. I threw a triple and a quad in the 4th game. Missed women's season high scratch game by two pins.

Pretty Sweet! I guess the Mark Baker lesson paid dividends.

It's Shark next week, which should prove much more challenging. Looking forward to it.

I'm glad it helped. Shark is a whole different beast so good luck. I haven't ever bowled on any if the long patterns. I want to try it some time. Congrats on the 189.

Thanks. I'm happier with the 223. We bowled four games.

The long pattern I bowled on was the Badger, and it sucked, I mean really really sucked. Part of the problem is I don't have an arsenal yet so I had to make do with what I had, but a 52 foot oil pattern is much different than anything you've likely bowled on before. Shark shouldn't be that bad, I think its only 42 feet? Then again, all sports patterns are difficult when compared to THS

Yeah, it's 43ft. I have no delusions of grandeur.

That's why I need to win a new, more aggressive ball.

Nah they can give me the new ball. Straighter is grater on the shark anyway keep your angles tight across the 2nd and third arrows is what I've seen the most success with. I haven't thrown this one myself but I was watching our pba league bowl on this pattern two weeks ago. I would think use the first blood on this pattern. Inside is where to be on it.

The three new patterns have the exact same quanity of oil but on the badger which is much longer it is just spread very thin.
I tend to do better on the longer shots then I do on the shorter shots due to my high ball speed and massive amount of hand that I put on the ball The short patterns I have to move so far left that I am outside of my comfort zone but I have been working on playing 4th arrow and beyond.
The shark and the scorpion are my two favorite shots

i bowl on Badger this week, it's going to be a bit interesting, i struggle with longer patterns, i might just pull an O'Neill and roll it straight up the 3rd arrow lol what ever works, gotta get them pins!

I wish they had broadcast that episode prior to me bowling the pattern, but I did sort of find some success bowling almost straight to the pocket. I plan on having a couple balls to choose from this fall when I join another PBA experience league, so hopefully I'll be a little more versatile than I am at the moment.
