Thread: my next ball

The movement of the ball looked great... but with the dark ball color you couldn't tell at all what kind of revs any of them were throwing. Some ball reviews at least mention what range of revs the staffers have and that'll give you some idea. This one didn't say, and you couldn't even estimate. Bleh.

Yep. Absolutely. The hook will change with ball speed. you get a highly reactive ball and pair it with slow speed, I think it's gonna hood too early most of the time.

I've seen more than one being thrown around here (Deadly Aim), and had a chance to throw a few with one a few days ago. The sound is different, but the carry is incredible. Just a bit too aggressive for what I'm looking for, I already have the Mastermind that I absolutely love.
None of the bowlers had great success on that oil pattern. I saw a ton of open frames and lots of missed single pin spares. The ball looks really nice, but I do love my Assassin. I'm going to have to avoid the pro shop with all these new bowling balls coming out so I don't get tempted to buy another one lol...

It's really too bad they can't magically "test drill" a ball for you to give it a trial before you buy it. I would've liked to have thrown all the balls on my short list.

Y'know... we can put men on the moon, ya'd think we could figure out how to "test drill" bowling balls... Just sayin'.

I wonder if they simply have "generic-drill" test balls, because custom drilling a ball just to test would be crazy expensive.

Yep, basically that's what they have at "Demo Days". They have some test balls drilled up which use adjustable finger and thumb grips so they can fit several different span. Then you can try them out.
