Default Banner Day at RV's House

Well today has been another banner day for the RV household. My new shoes arrived, and they fit like a glove (well... not a glove, exactly -- my feet would have no use for thumbs sticking out the sides...). But they fit well and look fantastic. We'll hope that the fantasticness carries through to the performance, which I'm confident that it will.

Also, the IQ Tour Fusion arrived at the same time! I hadn't expected it quite so quickly. So, now my living room smells like blueberry muffins, and the ball is sitting on the chair next to me in all its blue and gold bowlingy goodness.

I'm getting the Misfit drilled up tomorrow, will see how it throws, and will get the pro's opinion on how the IQ will best compliment my game.

Thanks again, BowlingBall.com for the goodies!

As I tell anyone with new shoes, before you try to throw your first ball make an approach (as if bowling) without the ball. That way if you stick or slip your not trying to get rid of the ball while ch slide to expect. I do this every time I bowl so I know what to expecttrying to not fall. It will also give you a good idea of how mu

I might invite her to sniff the Storm. Wait... that didn't sound too good!

That's good advice. I'd actually thought of using house shoes for a while until I get used to throwing fingertip -- and a vastly different ball.

Got the Misfit drilled up today. Very comfy (it's nice to have a custom drilled ball again), but BOY!! What a difference between the conventional grip I've used since 1973 and the fingertip! This is going to take some getting used to! Can't wait to practice.

It takes some people longer than others to get used to the difference. Big thing don't grip the ball one of the hardest things to get used to between conventional and fingertip.

Yeah, I noticed that right off the bat. It really doesn't feel good to grip the ball -- that is it feels as though it doesn't need to be gripped, yet I feel as though I have to (force of habit).
