Description: Welcome back Quadfire core. What we have is a medium oil machine that is fueled for an explosive backend motion known as the Octane. The hybrid black and purple pearl cover on the Octane is the new Agility SFX (Skid Flip Xtreme) Reactive formulation. This new technology provides outstanding length and an absolutely explosive backend reaction. Factory finish is 5000 Grit LSP (Laser Scan Polished)

Out of box surface: 5000 Polished

Reaction: The Octane clears the heads better than any Motiv ball I have ever thrown and this is because of the 5000 grit laser scan polished cover, the cover provides a lot of power when it encounters the friction. In the oil the Octane will skid nothing like you’ve ever seen and when it encounters the friction it will hook, with gusto and vigor.

Conditions

THS (40 feet): On THS I starting out playing far left standing ten from the left targeting ten to the right, it was a lot of fun watching this ball skid flip and roll the pins with authority. In the later stages of the night the Octane showed me what it could do when the friction increased, standing five from the left targeting ten to the right there was no quit in this ball. This is a fun ball to throw.

Nationals Singles Pattern (38 feet): With so much free hook on this pattern the Octane made this ball look like a house shot, the cover really got this ball to the promise land as it was clean through the heads and the midlane. On other patterns this ball will allow me to play deeper angles with confidence knowing the ball will corner and recover.

Summary: The Octane is currently Motiv’s most responsive piece to friction to date, the cover/core combo is phenomenal the cornering is to be marveled. In the event that my Primal Rage is too much and my Tribal is not enough, the Octane will definitely be in my hands as it should be in yours. If you enjoy the ball motion of skid flip, I promise this is the ball you’re looking for.
Let the fumes go to your head this time, I promise it’s safe.
