i take 5 honestly, i often practice with two of my "Go too" balls but i have two asymmetric balls one solid and one pearl for the dryer conditions depending on how the lanes are transitioning.

Then I was thinking that IQ Pearl that gave me that perfect game a while back on house oil... symmetrical...

The only thing I don't like about a IQ Pearl, BYTE, Deadly Aim, Slingshot arsenal is:

    1) I could have bought 7 first quality balls for what those are going for. Too overpriced.
    2) You have no solid coverstock ball. 2 Pearls and a Hybrid

Now, the IQ has a lower differential...so "theoretically"...it should behave different than the BYTE....I just wonder if it would be better to replace either the deadly aim OR the BYTE with a solid coverstock ball? Maybe not. I guess the Hybrid Deadly Aim could serve as the "solid".

I wonder (from the more "experts" of the group) what a solid coverstock ball that a Pearl would fail at. I know solids tend to hook sooner and grab more in oil...but would a low-mid-range solid coverstock (like the Rumble, Hy Road Solid, or IQ Solid) really gain more traction and hit the pocket where a high end Pearl (like the BYTE), even with it's higher end, assymetric type, core...wouldn't make it back?

Aslan: It all depends on the bowler's style and what he is comfortable seeing. Personally my arsenal contains no pearl balls whatsoever, and yet there are no "holes" in my arsenal. I just don't like the way they over/under react. There is no right or wrong, there is only what works for the individual bowler in terms of equipment.

In general if it doesn't come back with the BYTE it ain't coming back period.

The biggest thing I see here other than the slingshot what are you going to throw on light oil. These all look like bigger hooking balls on the fresh not an issue most likely but if this is going to be your regular arsenal I would look for a little lower end piece light oil ball trade out the IQ pearl you can mail it to me

YOU KNOW at Gladstone Bowling alley, ( the lanes that I transferred to after AMF CLOSED DOWN), I can honestly say I really only seem to need
TWO ball, no matter what team I am bowling.

The Deadly Aim, and the Drilled WEAK Sling Shot for 10 pins mainly!

They are 3 and 4 person teams, and that Deadly Aim works regardless as to who we are bowling. High Rev eat the oil up types, or low rev types?

ANOTHER STRANGE thing about the Hammer ball is that I don't have to more left at all, sometimes 3 boards at most, bowling 3 games!!

It's an amazing ball with that carbon fiber mixed into the outer surface.

None of my other balls have its movement into the pocket, it literally crushes the pins, in a stealthy way, keeping the wood low, with lots of pin action!

I think at this house, I will dig my old two ball bag out of the attic! Things might change this winter, along with the humidity , and cooler weather.

So Just for kicks I might bring one of my other babies in a single bag that I can slip onto the handle of my double!

I can't really see so far any reason, regardless of who we have bowled that would warrant the need for anything other then the

In regard to the actual question....it depends on how many bowlers are in the league. Each bowler should have at least one ball, as sharing is usually frowned upon.
