Agreed. Both on the BYTE and the hole being lighter oil. I would say on lighter/drier conditions, he can use the Slingshot. I use the Slingshot as my spare ball (as does Iceman, so I KNOW I'm doing the right thing!) BUT I will also use it up the 12-board for a very straight shot on very dry lanes What I would call my "D-Game". But unless you're on wood lanes…or bowling after a holiday weekend…I never need to resort to that. But you're right, I have the Frantic to ball down to and I'm not sure if switching to the IQ is really "balling down" since it's a monster hooking ball as well.
Agreed. Thats why I think since at least one of the balls is a hybrid…he's got his bases covered. If it was 3 pearl balls…only pearl balls…I'd probably be more concerned. And like I said, you can always change ball reactions a bit through drilling/surfacing…so every cover stock isn't an imperative.
