I think that it hurts more since it was against Ernie who didn't seem to care much about Randy's feelings, almost rubbing it in really. hehehehhe

Yeah, I didn't care much for his theatrics. Waaay over the top. I liked it better the way Barnes congratulated Duke last year after Duke beat him at the Summer King of the Swing, and celebrated his win with him.

    "Muhammed Ali," indeed! Pffft!

I wouldn't say Ernie is at the level of a PDW or Rash/Belmo in terms of sportsmanship "lacking"…but for those of us that have watched a lot of the older stuff…Ernie has ALWAYS had a flare for the dramatic. His old disco style outfits were probably the worst looking pieces of clothing ever worn in a PBA event. Chris Barne's teal green slacks are a distant 2nd.

In all honesty, I know nothing more about Mr. Schegel than that event. I proabably remember watching it on ESPN Classic, but that's pretty much it ;p

Ernie schlegel mr fruit salad ( a term he coined for a light shaker strike ) is considered one of the greatest action bowlers in history. In addition to being a great shot maker he had alot of tricks up his sleeve. I read a story once where he said he would pour a little bourbon on his head and down his neck so he smelled of liquor when he walked in to the bowling alley. All the guys looking for some easy money were sure he was drunk and ernie would clean house. An all time character in the history of the game.

Yeah, most of the first PBA members were all former "action bowling" guys.
