Is it your thumb? It seems to happen more during the summer with most bowlers some people have the problem year round. Simplest solution is to have your thumb hole enlarged a little and add tape so it can be removed if needed during bowling.
Anyone with any experience in dealing with bowling hand swelling during play? Lately I will start with my hand fitting the ball fine, but by the middle of game two my hand swells until it's quite difficult to get out of the ball. Is it a summer thing? Humidity?

Thumb and fingers. In fact, my whole hand just feels inflated. Very strange

You may want to think about getting the holes in your ball drilled out a little so when your hand swell it does not get to tight. Also make sure you are using the fan on the ball return to keep your hand cool. You can also try using some slide powder.
Humidity definitely plays a role with swelling as does salt intake.
I'm going to my pro shop Tuesday to get the grips changed out. My wife is also having a similar problem and she is getting hers changed out. Perhaps it's just all the bowling we're doing and our hands have a bit more fluid in them. Can always add tape to tighten a thumb or finger hole. Very hard to cram fingers in and get a clean release.
What helped me with my ever changing thumb is to switch my balls out to vise IT switch grips I got one made that fit like normal then a second "normal" one I bowled some games as it got tight I took the seconded thumb in and had it open up![]()
Thanks. I'll look those grips up.

Yep same here I would be ok then my thumb would just get bigger and bigger as the night went on. So after switching I have been able to play game after game love them. I don't know how they compare to the Turbo switch grips but after switching the the Vise ITs ill never go back. Really after you first ball and set of thumbs are done then your cost is the same as a standard slug![]()
