Thanks Ice but I can't take credit - my friend Joe aka Faze, another bowler by the way, created the video. I know I watch the video and my adrenaline starts and my throttle hand gets real itchy. Nothing like riding. Bowling is cool and all but pales in comparison to carving up some mean twisties. I'm super pumped about going to Tennessee on September 8. Lots of work to do - tires, gear, etc. but it's all worth it when I spend 6 glorious days of riding the best roads in the northern hemisphere. US129, US28, US165, US68, US421. Drooling as we speak.

Fresh oil is not going to happen, particularly at the one bowling center where I have not bowled in more than three years and only marginally know one person in the proshop through a friend. I really don't care what the format is. As for time, I would guess that we will need to be finished by 5 pm before they oil for evening leagues that usually start at 6. Once they know their numbers for winter leagues at the end of the first week in September, I'll see what I can do to get lanes reserved for us.

Let me ask you this Rob,,, can you get a package deal, with good oil somewhere else??? I just don't want to have to load ever thing up on the bike and drive to another location to bowl. I might have my wife with me, and it would be a major load and unload plus hooking up the trailer to the bike ect ect.

I am open to bowing at an establishment you LIKE, that has good oil, and maybe a good room rate!

Mud, and Ice like to save our money for riding the open roads, with the wind in our face, and scenery blazing by!!!! Rob you got a bike???

I am hopping Rob can set this up with some people he knows! I am waiting on word from him as to where. I need a room from the 23 and 24th! I would stay longer, but IF MY WIFE comes with me, then we will need to get back after we bowl! If just Iceman comes, I might go on to the coast, and get a dose of radiation form that Japanese nuclear power house that is leaching toxic wasted down around San Diego! then maybe up highway 1 along the coast to San Francisco , and then home the northern route, I 80. Hey I am retired!! (

Ok I have reached my limit of computer issues today - was trying to book my flight now that I have a full green light from the fun governor but it just sits there thinking. Later tonight I will book. Leaving sometime Tuesday Sept 23 from Detroit. Trying to leave as late as possible to save a vacation day at work. Will be in LAS around 2100-2200 with a beer in my hand at the bar looking for that bad a$$ goldwing rider.

Whatever. Fine, one team event (time permitting) AFTER the actual event. No bragging rights attached. Side bet eligible. Realize I'm only agreeing to it to placate an old man on his birthday because I'm nice. If it weren't an old man's likely last wish…I'd just say screw it and use it as an excuse to get out of this even that is certain to be a huge embarrassment given the untimely collapse of my game.

Rob…due to Iceman being psychotic…and putting this demand on Mike W. and I…it would be appreciated if we could arrange for an AM less on the 24th…time and place that is most convenient to you. I plan on getting to Vegas in plenty of time in the AM for some practice, meditation, strategy planning, etc… So anytime is good. I MUST get a lesson from you while I'm out there!! If it can't work in the AM before the event…I have the AM on the 25th as well before I leave for Laughlin for sweeps. Once we get this event thing nailed down in terms of time and place…we can PM/email about the lesson.

I need you to take a look at my progress (or lack there of) and see if there's something you think I'm still doing wrong that still needs a lot of work…and /or if we need to start working on something else. If we have the AM lesson on the 24th…I probably won't use what I learn until I have time to fully practice it…but I definitely need to get to work on this stuff if I'm gonna have a successful 2014-15 campaign.

Well, you'll be looking for quite awhile since thats an oxymoron.

Goldwing riders are riders that are too old to ride an Ultra Classic. And Ultra Classic riders are riders that are too old to ride a "real" motorcycle.

Try riding my bike for 450 miles…no windshield…no heated handlebars…no radios. I don't even have a fuel gauge. And NO…I'm not riding to the event. I don't even have saddlebags on my bike much less some half-*** trailer. I "have" a windshield…and "have" some saddlebags…that bought when I was planning some longer rides back in 2007-08…but strapping 5 bowling balls to the back of that bike just aint gonna happen.

Taken on my ride up and down Mt. Hamilton near San Jose.

    YOU CALL THAT A BIKE?????
lOOKS like a gay Chicks Bike!

I can smell the FEAR Aslan,,,, sniff,,,,, sniff,,,,,, O,,,YES you are falling apart! Guess what my Want-to-be-biker,,,, Iceman and Muddpuppy got your NUMBER, and we can smell the fear! I just hope you don't faint while bowling due to the pressure of Endless Strikes that mudpuppy and Iceman will bombard you with!

Strikes to the LEFT OF YOU,,,, STRIKES to the RIGHT OF YOU, into the valley of defeat rode Aslan on his moped of some kind, that was once owned by a gay fairy!
I can smell that FEAR..... Even Mudpuppy knows a defeated kitty Cat when he smells one!

This is the bike that the gay biker chick purchased after peddling her wind up bike off to you!

Wherever we go, the lanes will have been freshly oiled in the morning. Lanes are oil every morning at every house in Vegas. I'll see if I can find someplace where we don't have to follow a league, so the oil should still be fairly fresh. I'll also look into room rates for you. No, I don't ride a bike, but I drive a Mustang GT convertible with a 4.6 liter V8, so I do get a lot of the same effect without much of the discomfort.

Thanks Rob!! Looking forward to your info!! To say that riding a bike is discomfort, is to a biker like saying: "jumping out of an airplane, with a parachute, is the same as landing in the plane!" (sure they both get you back to the EARTH, but one is a hell of lot more exciting) LOL

Nice car! If I lived in Vegas, I would defiantly have a convertible to go along with my bike!

Thanks for you help Rob! Despite what Aslan and Mike have said about you behind your back,,, Mud, and Ice, think your OK!!!
