Wait...what?? Where was I? Danngit! The whole trip to Vegas and Laughlin and I couldn't find more than like 4 women "in my wheelhouse". Laughlin is HORRIBLE. That place is like a resort for the people from "The Hills Have Eyes". Don't google it. The hottest chick I saw was outside Vegas in a Wal Mart buying lingerie...but she had to be like 19-21...so forget that. In fairness, I probably coulda had a shot with a hot gal in Laughlin that I saw in the nightclub. I coulda prominently displayed my dancing skills and impressed the beejesus out of her...but she was there with her "ugly friend" and I have never quite grasped how to approach an attractive lady when she's being guarded by the "ugly friend". It's a weird social dynamic.
Well, lets not get too complimentary. I HAVE been told that in person I'm not nearly as terrible as on the "interweb"...but believe me, there are opinions on the other side of that arguement where people will say that once you get to know me...I'm more like the internet Aslan than first impressions will allow for.
Women shouldn't even be allowed in the bowling alley much less allowed in such a prestigious tournament!!! Whats next!? Property rights? Voting Rights? Equal pay?? It's a hippie concept that we should just put to rest before it spreads.
E.T.A.- I reserve the right to alter that opinion...should the bowlers be Danielle McEwan or Diana Zavjalova...AND they are single and looking to party... Also, standard disclaimer that said comments obviously don't apply to classygranny...shes tres awesome in every way and would certainly be welcome at any event.
But speaking of Mrs. Iceman...you had asked if there was a show you should take her to that Rob might recommend. And I totally drew a blank....BUT...on the way out of town saw a billboard and remembered...THUNDER DOWN UNDER!!! The ladies in my old Friday league SWEAR BY IT...and I'd have even PAID for it just to get a picture of Iceman stageside for THAT show. Oh well; next time.
No prob. I wasn't impressed with the decoration...I'll probably try a better bakery next time. But it tasted MARVELOUS!! Mike and Rob didn't partake so I decided to eat their pieces!
But the real thanks go out to Mr. Rob M. He actually has the busiest schedule of all of us...yet still took time to arrange all this with Suncoast...bought us dinner (which he certainly didn't have to do)...and gave me and Iceman a free group lesson the next day...which he again, didn't need to do. Why didn't he give a lesson to MWhite and Mudpuppy?? Well, MWhite unfortunately had to go back to California right after the event...and neither MWhite nor Mudpuppy NEED lessons. AND..he gave Iceman a free ball!!! It was like a bowling camp that only cost $14!! I had my eye on the Mastermind Intellect and Brunswick Brute that Rob was throwing...but he wasn't giving those away. : (
Havent heard from MWhite since the event...hopefully he survived the trip back. He wasn't at leagues on Sunday morning...but I think he posted on here so he's probably okay. I can't lose the ACE of my Sport Pattern team!!! Especially now that we got a third bowler!!! I think he's just afraid of the PBA CHEETAH!! A pattern THAT short with HIS rev rate!?? He's liable to throw the ball onto the lane left of us!!!
But, Rob is the BIG WINNER...thus I think to the winner go the spoils...and the next event, is up to him in terms of time and place. I think waiting about 1-2 years...but planning it WAY ahead will be most likely to get us the most participants. Also give the media time to catch up!!! I don't think they can ignore us twice!! I need to get myself some individual sponsors by then....Brunswick seems to still be "on the fence"...but maybe I can aim lower...get sponsored by "Hai Karate" or "Steve's Hog Farm" or a strip club or one of those mexicans that sells avocado's at the intersection.
