Shuffleboard is a must and yes a ladies event would be awesome as well. Forgot to mention it was really nice to meet Mrs. Iceman as well. Now we all do know who keeps the Iceman from melting down and grounded as his better half

Wait...what?? Where was I? Danngit! The whole trip to Vegas and Laughlin and I couldn't find more than like 4 women "in my wheelhouse". Laughlin is HORRIBLE. That place is like a resort for the people from "The Hills Have Eyes". Don't google it. The hottest chick I saw was outside Vegas in a Wal Mart buying lingerie...but she had to be like 19-21...so forget that. In fairness, I probably coulda had a shot with a hot gal in Laughlin that I saw in the nightclub. I coulda prominently displayed my dancing skills and impressed the beejesus out of her...but she was there with her "ugly friend" and I have never quite grasped how to approach an attractive lady when she's being guarded by the "ugly friend". It's a weird social dynamic.

And to answer everyone's question what part of Asia is he from? THE GOOD PART
Well, lets not get too complimentary. I HAVE been told that in person I'm not nearly as terrible as on the "interweb"...but believe me, there are opinions on the other side of that arguement where people will say that once you get to know me...I'm more like the internet Aslan than first impressions will allow for.

Women shouldn't even be allowed in the bowling alley much less allowed in such a prestigious tournament!!! Whats next!? Property rights? Voting Rights? Equal pay?? It's a hippie concept that we should just put to rest before it spreads.

E.T.A.- I reserve the right to alter that opinion...should the bowlers be Danielle McEwan or Diana Zavjalova...AND they are single and looking to party... Also, standard disclaimer that said comments obviously don't apply to classygranny...shes tres awesome in every way and would certainly be welcome at any event.

But speaking of Mrs. Iceman...you had asked if there was a show you should take her to that Rob might recommend. And I totally drew a blank....BUT...on the way out of town saw a billboard and remembered...THUNDER DOWN UNDER!!! The ladies in my old Friday league SWEAR BY IT...and I'd have even PAID for it just to get a picture of Iceman stageside for THAT show. Oh well; next time.

No prob. I wasn't impressed with the decoration...I'll probably try a better bakery next time. But it tasted MARVELOUS!! Mike and Rob didn't partake so I decided to eat their pieces!

But the real thanks go out to Mr. Rob M. He actually has the busiest schedule of all of us...yet still took time to arrange all this with Suncoast...bought us dinner (which he certainly didn't have to do)...and gave me and Iceman a free group lesson the next day...which he again, didn't need to do. Why didn't he give a lesson to MWhite and Mudpuppy?? Well, MWhite unfortunately had to go back to California right after the event...and neither MWhite nor Mudpuppy NEED lessons. AND..he gave Iceman a free ball!!! It was like a bowling camp that only cost $14!! I had my eye on the Mastermind Intellect and Brunswick Brute that Rob was throwing...but he wasn't giving those away. : (

Havent heard from MWhite since the event...hopefully he survived the trip back. He wasn't at leagues on Sunday morning...but I think he posted on here so he's probably okay. I can't lose the ACE of my Sport Pattern team!!! Especially now that we got a third bowler!!! I think he's just afraid of the PBA CHEETAH!! A pattern THAT short with HIS rev rate!?? He's liable to throw the ball onto the lane left of us!!!

But, Rob is the BIG WINNER...thus I think to the winner go the spoils...and the next event, is up to him in terms of time and place. I think waiting about 1-2 years...but planning it WAY ahead will be most likely to get us the most participants. Also give the media time to catch up!!! I don't think they can ignore us twice!! I need to get myself some individual sponsors by then....Brunswick seems to still be "on the fence"...but maybe I can aim lower...get sponsored by "Hai Karate" or "Steve's Hog Farm" or a strip club or one of those mexicans that sells avocado's at the intersection.

    ...and he's back, lol

Don't let him fool you - Aslan is a great guy. If I swung the other way I would serenade him and probably convince him to marry me.

Default The gift that rob gave iceman!!!!

I can't believe it!!!!!!!!!!! That Deadly Aim that he hated, only cost me 24 bucks to have it work for ME!! He drilled out the slug, and put the Vise system in, plus two new finger hole, his inserts were too tight, but the span was FRICKEN PERFECT,,, the driller gave me the ball during league, and Ice threw a 224!! I am going to love this new used ball that Rob gave Iceaman! It breaks a little sooner then my other Deadly Aim,,, LOVE IT!!

Can't wait to use it in a 3 game series... NO PROBLEM with the ten pin using it, just like my other deadly aim!

The driller did say the fingers had a different pitch, but should work fine! FINE is an understatement,, love the look of this ball.

    Thanks again Champ!!! ROB...

And remember boys and girls,, the title of this thread is:

    Aslan vs Iceman!

The old ICEMAN went to Vegas, and got the job done, after riding my bike over 1400 miles threw wind, rain, and wild animals in the mountains!!

THIS NEEDS to happen again maybe next Spring, or Early Fall!!

Aslan deserves a second shot at ICEMAN!! I now have Rob on my Radar screen! Would be WILD TO BEAT THE Champ, with his own ball!!!! LOL

Sorry ole pup...but in addition to not dating dudes (unless they're very, very wealthy)...I have a standard 2-kid limit on future Mrs. Right....3-kid limit if she's ultra hot and/or wealthy. And given you have like 7-8 kids...gonna have to pass on that. I don't want to have to come home one day and find that they all got together and watched Children of the Corn and have gotten any bright ideas. Not to mention, sending 3 kids to college with today's tuition rates...I mean, thats probably 1 million dollars in tuition. Nope.

That would be a GOOD BET!! Remember it was Scotch Doubles,,,, that format SUCKS!! Who knows what would have happened if we just bowled and added our scores ,,,,,Aslan,,, was not getting strikes, but for SOME STRANGE REASON, picking up all the trash Mike left him! I mean he didn't miss a spare,,, Scotch Doubles format is for grade school kids,,,, NOT ADULTS!

It was a BAD IDEA,,, BUT a very strategic MOVE on Aslans part! He knew with his lack of strikes, but dead on spare making ability they would have the advantage.

Mud was HOT on the lanes we started on, (in regards to strikes!!), but when we had to change lanes, strikes went south, and several splits, that Iceman, or EVEN SUPERMAN could not pick up!!

Soctch Doulbes suck, unless your from Scotland!!!

Next year its going to be add the scores from each side,,, NO ONE SHOULD HAVE TO SHOOT someone else's trash left behind, Not Mudpuppy, Not Iceman!

Aslan seems go love doing clean up for his partner!!!! There is something just PLAIN WRONG with Aslan,,, he seems to derive some kink of SICK pleasure picking up spares, regardless of the degree of difficulty. If he ever gets where he can throw a series of strikes, I fear he might be a hand full!

Next year, it will be scratch bowling, the REAL DEAL,,, none of that Scottish bull shirt!!!! It played right into the surfer, hang 10 B.S.!!! Mudpuppy and Iceman were way to merciful!!

Again,,,, kudos,,,, to ROB!!! You were magnificent.... coming from the bottom,,, getting past me, 227,,, needing 3 strikes in the tenth to do it! beating my 224!

ICEMAN could have been a WINNER,,,,, but you had to throw those 3 strikes in the tenth to beat me!!!

NEXT Year,,,, ROB,,,,,,, keep up,,,,, ICEMAN wants his revenge!!

Our first game, it was practice:

sorry Rob,,, here is your tenth frame,,, This was our ONLY practice game before the bowling event!

OK,,, how did ICEMAN do on his 66th birthday, after driving a motorcycle 1400 miles to Vegas:

One practice game for all of us... Ice had 226, then 3 games 197, 179, 222, and 224 against Rob,,,, for a total of 1048, average 210!!
Not bad for a worn out, burnt up X Iron Worker!

NEXT YEAR ..... I am counting the FRICKEN DAYS!!!! Revenge,,, of the Biker's!!! NO MORE Scottish doubles B.S.!!

First…the "scotch doubles" idea was NOT mine.

Second…it was a plan by Mudpuppy and Iceman to defeat MWhite and I since they had a HUGE advantage given that Ice was a righty and Puppy a lefty. Think about it…Pup leaves a 7-pin…thats easy for Ice to pick up. Ice leaves a 10-pin…easy for Pup to pick up. But, despite it being THEIR idea and they having a HUGE advantage…they underestimated Mike's ability to strike and my ability to pick up spares. I practice shooting spares about 27 times a night during league play (since I can't strike).

Third…the cake was supposed to be a "photo cake". But I didn't want to eat a cake with Iceman's picture on it…so I changed it to a big bowling ball over top where the picture would be…but the bowling ball wasn't dark enough to cover it up.
