NOPE,,,, hope to hear something by the end of this week, maybe Saturday for sure. ROB,,, Are you out there???? Mud and Ice, Aslan, and Mike White need to know where and when and how much! We know the date, ( my Birthday,, sept 24th) , but location has not yet been set, rooms, and time!

Should be getting my hitch and spoiler installed soon! Then a text ride with the New Wing! Really looking forward to the trip, and bowling! Meeting You, the Lion, Rob, and Mike White.

We are bowling at Suncoast. They are reserving lanes for us and doing everything possible to make sure that the lanes are not bowled on before we bowl at 1:30. I am bowling there tomorrow, and will check with my contact as to room discounts. Be patient! This may be a big thing for us, but for them it's just four bowlers coming into town to bowl for a couple of hours. I'm doing the best I can. If I can get a discount, great. If I can't, I'll find you the best rates I can. CALM DOWN!

Hey Rob, just check out the rooms, they want 177.00 for 3 night... Sams Town is only 79.00 bucks for those same 3 night,, two people!
Do you think they will match the price at Sams, or can me, and my wife stay at your house?? Is your wife a good cook??? Just a thought!

Looking for a casino that has entertainment, so that my wife and me can celebrate at the same place we are staying. I just went to both,, and I do like the looks of Sams Town. You would not have to owe the Godfather, for the favors you would be asking him!
I am good with 79.00 bucks! It was VERY NICE trying to get fresh oil,,, but I do have a ball and technique for what ever the lanes have to offer... so does Mudpuppy!!

We have almost 3 weeks,,, both lanes are open 24 hours,,, so surely we can find a time at either.

I had a Dream two nights in a role, about SAM"S TOWN, Rob!! Are you trying to keep Iceman and Mudpuppy away from those lanes for some evil reason??

I even shop at Sam's Club here in Kansas City Mo..!!

Lets work on Sams club, unless you can get the room rates down to a warehouse Pricing!! Like Sams!!

Yeah, I called Suncoast to see if they'd throw us a bone and the lady I talked to claims the rates are higher because it's closer to the strip, it's newer, and the rooms are larger.

I'll wait to hear back from Rob but I agree that if they can't come down a "little" bit on room rates, might as well go with Sam's Town.

I decided to just take the initiative to do this because God knows how many dreams Iceman is going to have between now and the 24th and poor Rob has somehow become the travel coordinator which I'm sure he's not interested in even though it's a nice resume add-on.

I talked to Suncoast and they didn't seem too willing to come down on room rates. I have talked to a couple people at Sam's Town about putting fresh oil down for our tournament on the 24th and they are going to get back to me with pricing. It sounds like it's no big deal, sounds like they'll have a couple lanes available...I just need to hear back and make sure they aren't gonna jack up the lane rental or charge us some tournament fee or something crazy.

I should hear back today. I'll update everyone as soon as I hear back.

When I lived in Vegas years ago. Sam's was on it's way to being a dump. Wouldn't be surprised if it is now.

It doesn't matter. Sam's Town still hasn't called me back.

Vegas used to be a lot more accomodating. My dad knew a guy that would take a small group of like 7-8 people once a year and gamble; blackjack. And most times they went...they'd get a free room. If they didn't, they'd call some other place and that place would give them a free room. And these guys were all teachers, not millionaire high rollers. Back then Vegas knew that if they could just get you into their casino...they'd end up making money on the deal.

But more recently, it seems like when I try to get a good deal on a hotel or something...the rates are much higher and a lot of times there's so many conventions and different things that there are even availability issues. For a town that went through a major housing crisis...they certainly seem to be doing okay.

I'm just annoyed about customer service in general though.
- Go to AMF Thursday, not open till 3PM. They whine that the sport is dieing and they turn people away all day.
- I emailed my new coach that I wanted another lesson next week...I get a response with some time choices...I choose...never heard back. Had to email again to today. I mean, it's not really a "wonder" why PBA pros can't make a good living when they have such poor customer service skills. If I don't hear back this weekend...I'll give Mark Baker a try. His schedule is tough, and his prices much higher...but maybe he'll at least return an email.
- And then Suncoast/Sams Town....here's a guy arranging to bring 5 people to your bowling center...4 from out of town to stay in your hotel (and probably gamble at least a little) and probably eat in your restaurants...and you're owned by the SAME COMPANY....yet Suncoast doesn't even TRY to get me to stay at their property. Just lets the business go elsewhere. Maybe I should have said the other site was a place not owned by Boyd gaming...maybe Suncoast didn't care because the money is still going to their company...who knows.

I mean, we're not asking them to put on a big event and promotions and put up baloons and have strippers show up. We're just saying..."can we reserve a couple lanes and 4 minutes before we start have one of your slappy workers push the little machine down each lane once or twice?"

The lady at Sam's Town was at least nice though. I called back to make sure they didn't lose my number and she remembered me and said the boss guy had been busy all day and in meetings but she hadn't forgotten about me. So hopefully will know within the next 2 hours. He'll probably call when I'm driving and I forgot my bluetooth headset so I may have to answer the phone illegally.
