The United States Bowling Congress Senior Masters will shift to Las Vegas for the next two years beginning this June when it is contested at South Point Hotel and Casino's Bowling Center.

The USBC Senior Masters will be held June 7-12 at South Point instead of the previously announced venue in Tucson, Ariz. The move will allow for an increase in the maximum number of entries from 288 to 384. South Point will also host the event in 2010.

"We mutually decided with our hosts in Tucson to step away from our previous agreement, and USBC is extremely pleased to now be partnering with South Point to present this prestigious tournament," USBC Vice President of Tournaments and Events Jack Mordini said. "The Senior Masters drew large fields the last two times it was held in Las Vegas in 2004 and 2005, and we expect that trend will continue."

The Senior Masters showcases the sport's top bowlers age 50 and older competing for an estimated prize fund of $125,000. In addition to defending champion Kenny Parks, others expected to compete are bowling legends Dave Soutar, Gary Dickinson, Johnny Petraglia, Pete Couture, Mark Roth, Ernie Schlegel, Tom Baker and many more.

All USBC members who meet the age requirement and have an average of 190 or higher are eligible to compete in the Senior Masters. Entry forms are now available by visiting bowl.com or by contacting tournament director Tom Boedecker at (800) 514-2695, ext. 3415 or by e-mail at tom.boedecker@bowl.com.
