Default bowling with a hurt back

my back was hurting a little after league thursday, today me and my wife had a bowling date. bowled couple of the worst games I had for the last month. I know I was coming up out of my approach because of the pain. thinking of taking next week off from bowling. just hoping it is just a kidney infection. the close to 2gals of water should help. if is not, it is an old injury from where fell off a stone retaining wall last year.

While waiting to be scheduled for surgery 11 years ago, someone recommended accupuncture. Eleven years later, I still haven't had surgery. When my back flares up, I go for 1-3 accupuncture treatments, and I bowl pain-free. Just make sure that you find a Chinese doctor. Western doctors only have to put in 100 hours to be certified, and, for the most part, don't know what they are doing. Before you poo-poo the idea, consider that Chinese medicine has been around for over 5000 years, while just 250 years ago, western doctors still didn't know what causes an infection.

The last two times my back really bothered me (like, actual injury)... it caused me to slow down my delivery and I shot a 667/631. I can't recommend bowling hurt but... heh

Seconding Rob's call btw. Acupuncture is really great for relieving a lot of different types of pain, especially back pain type of things. My other recommendation would be to just slow down and work with your legs more.

Find some exercises on line to strengthen your back. I have had problems off and on for almost 20 years and you have to do the exercises, i didn't for a long time and would act up occasionally. If you exercise it on a daily basis it will help you in the long run. Good luck to you.

update on my back, seems like it was what I hoped it was. kidney infection.

I throw around 25 to 40 lbs of beer pretty much daily, not counting the racks of sodas. does that count as exercise.
