Default Throwing an old ball a new way

I was phasing my Hy-Road Solid be drilled today and they used my Optimus as a reference so I bowled with my Brunswick Karma. I usually throw down second arrow with left foot on 25. I decided to throw it like I do with my Optimus, target 15 board and left foot on 30, and I was killing it. Brings new life to the ball. As the Karma was my first ball, I figure my technique has improved so I was able to do so.

    Anyone else has done this?

First, please let me apologize. I really mean no disrespect. First, you bowled with your Brunswick Karma. Which Karma. Urethane? Solid? Pearl? Second, you "figure your technique has improved." Are you sure that the lanes were the same as they were when you "usually throw down the second arrow with left foot on 25"? So you were "killing it," using an entry level bowling ball and playing "like I do with my Optimus"? There are a lot of variable here. Please don't jump to conclusions based on what you want the outcome to be. Instead, try to evaluate the results based on what is.

Well I say that I improved my technique as that is what others at the alley has said. Conditions were the same as they were freshly oiled. I'm not saying that my Karma pearl plays like the Optimus, but I was able to throw it at the same target, standing at the same place as it. I know the two balls are different. I was just saying how I am throwing it different than when I started with it and to me I feel good about it.

When the oil pattern is strong enough, what ball you throw doesn't mean a whole lot.

Confidence is a huge factor in this game. If you feel good about your game and where your headed with it you are way ahead of a lot of people. Keep working and good luck!

Confidence is a huge factor, and if your technique has improved, you're likely going to feel like you have a lot more control over the ball, allowing you to do different things with it, in response to prevailing conditions.

I've used a klingon pain stick on a ball, but never used a phaser.

It also helps if you yell, "KLEE-DAGHH TLAAPACH!! authoritatively, and at the top of your lungs, just after the release of the ball.
