33' is a very short pattern if you continue to struggle you might consider adding a urathane ball. I haven't seen anything that short in a while
Ok, had league again last night. Before we started I did some investigation. I spoke with one of the managers (which the center is in transition to a new management team) and asked what the deal was. He told me that as a "management team" they decided that in an effort to save money they would only oil 33' instead of our accustomed 38' house shot. This explaining my freaky reactions from last week. I made some adjustment, mainly a weaker wrist position and a little more loft. I managed a 183, 186, 203. I may add a little more polish to see if I can get some more length before the break, but we'll see.

Wow only 33' that is a very short pattern indeed that is even
shorter than what we used to bowl on when we had wooden
lanes.
We always had at least 35' back then on wood now on our synthetic
lanes we always have 41' and sometimes during special tournaments
they will stretch it out to 45'
I'll have to agree with Amyers you may need to look into getting yourself
a urethane ball as it would be good on that short of a pattern.
