Well here we go. I have just picked up bowling for the first time ever and so I'll give a little timeline and then go from there.

2015, January 17thish: Went out bowling (for a company party) for the first time since I was probably 8ish? Highest score 115 under pure luck with a house ball and cosmic bowling

End of January: Had a lot of fun at the company party and decided to pick up my own ball, got a cosmetically defective 900 Global Sure Thing.

Beginning of February: Got 3 free games with the ball and took it to try it out.. Scores? embarrassing, didn't record the exact numbers but all around the 60 range.

February 20th: Had a 30-min coaching lesson with a Silver-Level coach.

February 21st: Went to bowl 3 games after the coaching to see how it went.

In the third game, the skin on the left side of my thumb received enough friction that I tore off a good little sliver. Now I wait for it to heal and talk to my pro shop to see if it's something with my release, the fit, or if it's something I just need to toughen up over time.

My goal is to hit a 150 average so I can join a fun league and not feel terrible even with handicaps.
