Default temp solution to my wife's shrinking thump problem

I have said a few times my wife had weight loss surgery. she has lost over 70lbs. tonight we found the solution that should work until her weight loss stabilizes, we complete wrapped her thumb in skin protection tape. it worked pretty well, took up the space. we looked at the thumb stock she was worried it would come off while bowling.

she bowled her best game in her short time of bowling. 187

Does she have a thumb slug in the ball? If so, you can have it replaced and drill a new on to fit better. If no slug, perhaps they can place one in her ball and drill it to fit her new thumb size.

But great game with the tape!

I haven't lost that much since I started bowling, but I found that I had to have the slug replaced and drilled every 20lbs or so to ensure a good fit.
Glad the tape works but depending on how much tape you use, it's going to get pricey really quick!
With the slug it makes it super easy to make minor adjustments. Since my Uproar was drilled, I've had to have the pitch modified slightly since my span was impacted by how much weight I lost out of my hands.

we have talked about having a slug put in, we have talked about the cost of the tape.

going to also talk with my driller about vise it or switch grip

I've been losing weight pretty consistently, but slowly for the last year in a half. I use the IT thumbs. If you use too much tape your pitch can change which can just cause a whole slew of problems. I've never had an issue with my IT thumbs, and I just get a new outter thumb drilled whenever I need a smaller thumb. My thumb also shrinks when I bowl, instead of swelling :/

Good luck to her and congrats on her weight loss!
