Glad it worked out for you so far, I assume there was no ring finger pain now.
ok so per the advice of Bowl1820, i decided to give the Sarge Easter grip a try, i have always sorta dreaded this drill since i have heard so many nasty rumors about it ex; loss of revs, loss of control, lack of speed. after two practice throws, which i admit felt pretty weird, i started to feel more confident, started to bring the ball back and give it that classic tweener counter turn in my back swing with a smooth forward swing and BOOM! my grape vibe on fresh oil was cutting past the 15 out to the 5 and destroying the pocket! first game (including my first two goofey throws) 185, second game 211, thrid game 236! cannot wait for thursday night to see how well i can handle more transition on the lanes. and yes i have decided to give up the index finger drill and stick with the Sarge! very happy camper right now! #300hereIcome #bringNthunder #HammerDown

Had to look this drill pattern up. Never heard of it, but if it alleviates the ring finger pain AND you're scoring well, that's great!
I had to put my son in a sarge 2 years ago due to severe arthrisis in the last join on his ring finger. He lo9ves it and averaged 330 in both of his leagues last year. So far his best game with it 8is 289 and best series 8is 782
