It's not a real ball unless it's got some good scratches on it. Where I practice the ball will come back with black sticky goo on it that has to be scraped off. Have no idea what it is, but my towel is covered in it.

Would be either the rubber curtain behind the pins, or belts used to move the ball along the return mechanism. The house I bowl in on TUesdays my balls get filthy. Have to put ball up on spinner to clean vs. by hand.Originally Posted by foreverincamo
