I've thought about a league or something along these lines, but it seems the crowd for it is just too small. Most league bowlers prefer not to play "glow-bowling" or "disco-bowling" or whatever you want to call it, and the casual players that might be interested in something like that, aren't interested in the commitment that's required by a bowling league (i.e. they bowling once in a while, but not every week).

Your best bet might be organizing an open tournament with glow bowling. If successful you could probably have one every few months, but I think a league might be a bit too difficult to get going.
    Company League Average: 198.1

WTBA Sport pattern League Average: 172.9

I think one thing that might help keep bowing alive is to expand on many things! Like that new scoreing system, cosmic bowing under the lights with disco music, or what ever the theme of that league might be, could even be country music, or rap, what ever! Being open MINDED and diversity just might help bowling.

Example, I have two sons that bowl at the present time. Both are NEW to the game of bowling, One likes standard league THS play, and the other will not bowl league, doesn't interest him at all, but he enjoys Cosmic, disco bowling on Saturday evening. So I purchased a Zombie ball, bag, and shoes. He is the one that's a Police Officer, figure... LOL Mike my oldest son loves the competition, of league bowling, his equipment, (birthday gift), was a lights out, bag, shoes and spare ball.

What ever rings the bell, and gets them into the bowling establishments is a GOOD THING! It's a Win/Win!

If your a OLD SCHOOL, and don't care for the changes, get over it!!

Bowling lanes are closing down at an alarming rate around My area, and we are the heart land of this country! It's time to open up our minds to other FUN, and maybe different ways to roll the balls down the lanes!

All of my boys had a Bowling Birthdays,,,, Bags, Balls and shoes. ICEMAN is doing his part! (
    Don't walk on Thin Ice!
