    Default certified coaching

Last year I got involved with my kids youth travel league as a part time coach. Having bowled in that league when I was their age I was kinda discouraged that there aren't many certified coaches involved with the league and was wondering if any of you guys would have any info on becoming a usbc certified coach. Thanks!

The level 1 cert is actually pretty informative and an excellent starting point. I received mine earlier this year with the intentions of helping out with the youth league at my home lanes. The youth league never took off (at least for this season) but I am certain that is going to change pretty soon.

Just go to bowl.com and browse the site for info on becoming a certified coach....there are various levels of involvement and I am sure the site will shed some light on certifications....you may also be able to call USBC and ask to speak with someone from the coaching certification department for direct information from knowledgeable people at USBC in Arlington, TX.....
