For those atheletes with multiple balls in their arsenals, have them bowl alternate frames on the same lane using two or more different balls to help them to learn the differences between them. This will facilitate making ball change adjustments.

Also look into the Youth bowling clinics and materials from the USBC. The manual you get at the clinic has a ton of different drills and exercises that can be done on the lane and off the lane for all levels of bowler.

Smokey this is not 'Nam', this is bowling. There are rules. Proud two-time winner of a bowlingboards.com weekly ball give-away!

Coach, this may seem boring to the bowlers but perhaps invite other successful coaches to attend a class and share some good bowling tips with your students to help them learn more about the game....ask a pro shop professional to bring some equipment samples (half balls, literature, etc.) and give a short presentation on bowling balls, as example, and clarify some of the terms tossed around in bowling circles....if your class is accredited, then why not invite guest coaches to help students learn and advance in the game? One thing is certain, because you are inquiring for ideas means you care about the bowlers in your classes and that is the root of learning, teachers who care....keep up the good work....
