Real Men Bowl on Wood, World Championship ICEMAN OPEN

Hey I am footing the bill, I can call it anything I want!!

OK,,, its the second week in JUNE, The (Real Men Bowl on Wood, Iceman Championship Open) I have 6 wood, pristine lanes.

1. Lanes will be furnished by ICEMAN, with money he won from side bets at the Aslan vs ICEMAN gig!

2. All you need to bring is you best game, and balls

3. lots of cheap motels and hotels in the area that's the bowlers responsibility.

This bowling alley is one of a kind built in 1957! This will be scratch, sorry sandbaggers, and we will have singles, and team competition!
What teams will be decided when we know who, and how many are coming to the glorious small town bowling alley! I will be making my
Saturday evening trip with my wife, and two sons maybe tomorrow... I honestly can't tell you, or even put into words how much fun it is
to meet up and bowl those OLD well conditioned wood lanes! HUMMMM,, HUM!!!

I will tell the two good friends that run the alley, Chris, and Lee that this is going to HAPPEN!!

THE: ( REAL MEN BOWL ON WOOD, WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP ICEMAN OPEN)

This is OLD SCHOOL BOWLING AT ITS BEST!! NO automatic scoring, you will be using the vintage 1960's Brunswick over head projector!



This bowling alley doesn't even SMELL LIKE those synthetic plastic, artificial lanes! It has the smell of a Forest, deep in the woods!!

Some of you HOT SHOT synthetic bowlers,,, lets see how good you are on the REAL DEAL! Can you 220 bowlers even hit 190 on the wood!

We will have FRESH OIL on all 6 lanes just prior to the event!

We can have any pattern we want. or the standard THS, at 34, 38 or 40 feet.... what ever we vote on!

Local small town restaurants with that home town cooking in the area,,,, Can't you smell that good food a cooking,,, hummm!

We have plenty of time to get this together! It should and could be EPIC!!

Brian above is a typical sandbagger, he looks stupid, but under the sandbag mask, he is in reality, a brain surgeon, here in Kansas City at Sands Hospital! We don't
have much use for sandbagger, that's why this tournament will be REALITY!

hey iceman I would of loved to come and do this with you but this is 7 days before my birthday, I will be in Alberta, Canada with my brother getting ready for a bowling tournament that happens around the same time.

That WOOD BE FANTASTIC!!!!! If I can help in any way let ME KNOW!! There is a whole generation of young Whippier-Snappers that don't know what wood bowling is all about!

Its sort of like the original Tennis in England on GRASS, vs the mostly used today asphalt synthetic types. Sure their are a few clay courts around town, but only at private clubs!

Wood is THE GREAT EQUALIZER!! It takes a lot more skill be bowl wood then it does synthetic! Glad your on board Storm,,, good luck with finding a place for dialysis, here in Kansas city mo. We have many great hospitals in this area!

If the good Lord is willing and the creeks don't rise to much then
you can count me and my gal in too. That is what I learned to bowl
on back in the day the good old wood lanes and I absolutely loved to
bowl on them.

Hope I can find a hotel/motel that will accept small pets in the area I
can not leave my little chihuahua alone here all be herself. Ice how far
is Plattsburg from the KC area I guess we would have to stay there and
drive back and forth.

I'm really looking forward to meeting and bowling with some of the board
members from here it should be a real blast.

Its only 30 miles from my place, (Close to KCI airport) they might even have a place in town,, I will check it out and get back with you! I have a GOOD friend that lives in Plattsburg. I will ask her if they have pet friendly place to stay REAL close if not in the Wonderful little town of Plattsburg!

I hope to get a good number of bowlingboard.com memebers in on this WOOD experience! Should be a BLAST!!!

Yes we could, but ,,, BUT no mention of Wood! I am OPEN to a Name for the tournament of Tournaments!

I am getting questions from all over the universe. My inbox was full also Aslan! Had to empty it twice before noon yesterday!! Talked to Chris, put a deposit down on the 6 lanes of man eating wood last night.

Gene and Mary bowled up there last night with Iceman and Icewoman.

Funny some of the local Farm Boys that grew up, and some born on those lanes want a piece of the action! One went so far as to say he could not be beat in his house!!!

Could be interesting,,, I did say that they would have to join bowlingboard.com before they could legally be a participant!

Hi all this is got_a_300's gal and soon to be wife I'll be coming
with him in June to the wood lanes tournanment but I'm not a
good bowler so I'll just be watching all of the action instead of
bowling in it myself.

I can hardly wait to get to meet everyone that comes to it and
see the bowling alley and have some fun.
