It isn't the device that puts down the oil that makes the difference.

It's how easy the oil pattern that is put down, that does.

Putting down an easy pattern can be done with either method, the mop just takes more lineman skill to execute.

And lucky you did since right about the time I got paired with Mighty MikeWhite-a-Nator he started rolling the ball like a wet noodle. It was like Popeye when the spinach wore off.

Now…Ice/Mud DID have a distinct advantage. Lefty/Righty!!! Uh oh…Ice missed leaves a 10-pin….no problem, Mudpuppy picks it up. Oh no, Mud leaves a 7-pin…no prob…Ice picks it up. They lost DESPITE that advantage!!

I think the key was Rob beating Mudpuppy in the finals. Mudpuppy was visually rattled and destroyed after bowling so well and then pooping the bed in the finals. Then he had to do scotch doubles which I think took him out of his rhythm.

Vegas was Vegas!! This will be a tournament that has never been attempted in the history of bowling! 6 beautiful WOOD Lanes, dressed the way we want each pair.

I am tempted to keep the number down to no more then 10! Why not a rematch of Vegas, plus one extra bowlier,,, 12 at the most!

One pair of lanes Mop oil laid down by an EXPERT of that ART, for HARD CORE BOWLERS, LIKE Myself and Mikeie!

The great thing about this set up is WE CONTROL THE BOWLING LANES, and no one else will be there, but Chris, Lee, and hopefully Georgia with the ICECREAM Machine!

Plattsburg has a Pizza Hut One block away that does delivery...

Consistency of the oil isn't the goal.

The goal is to have a pattern that doesn't provide help to guide the ball towards the pocket.

All that is needed is a decent amount of oil in the first 20 feet, and clean back ends.

When you reach down and run you hand across the wood, you can FEEL THE ENERGY, almost like a static shock, but not due to the lanes being dry, but rather electrified, waiting all these years for its King Arthur to come Release its First sanctioned 300!!

This could be you Aslan, maybe even Mikey, or Muddpuppy! I doubt Rob will make the trip due to his age? Will the enchanted lanes give up its virginity to one of us warriors doing battle!?

sad to say it won't be a sanctioned 300, due to the fact this is an epic event, not league bowling,,, but the GLORY of DOING IT,,,, the chronicles, and history surrounding it will live on forever!!!

I didn't get to make Vegas but I would have been there if it had been possible
at the time. It really makes no difference to me how many is there or what the
lane conditions are just as long as I'm invited there to bowl with bowling's best
because I've already bowled with the rest now it's time to take on the best. LOL!!!

The best part of it all is I'd get to see a bowling God in real life now how cool is that.
