I'm still trying to figure out who decided that real men bowl on wood, considering that I haven't even seen a house with wood lanes still in operation since a tournament that I bowled in Bakersfield, California in 2003. The only way to find a line in that tournament was to find a line that didn't have any MASSIVE chunks of wood missing. I really question the whole real men thing. Could it just be a ploy to move the venue to the midwest?

It is due to Iceman's apparent insecurity with his manhood.

Therefore to be a real man (in his opinion), you have to do the things he does.

At one time it was "real men bowl in sandals".

You don't have to prove ANYTHING, Your an ANIMAL! You whipped us all in Vegas, even mike white. But the name on the thread was Aslan The Young vs ICEMAN the old, and as I remember it, I destroyed him!! The rest of you guys were just a (( ON THE SIDE SORT-OF-THING!))
But now I am READY FOR even YOU ROB!!! That Deadly Aim you gave me is lethal!! How sad would it be to destroy you with your own weapon?????

Plattsburg lanes are in excellent condition! Do you feel lucky,,,,,, think you have what it takes to repeat on wood! We will have complete control of everything inside the alley!

How about 3 different patterns,,, on pairs of lanes! 6 lanes so say, a 34 foot red, 42 foot white and a US OPEN! I think it would be a blast!!! The options will be almost limitless!!

You seem to forget, I grew up bowling on Wood, I've managed to shoot a sanctioned 300 on wood... you?

While I did come up a bit short of 800 on wood, but I did manage 791.. how high have you managed on wood?

When I shot those scores, it was a time where lanes were inspected to provide integrity. Can't say the same now.

Especially since, as you said so yourself, people in your area want easy lanes.

Same here Mike that is what I learned to bowl on the old wood lanes
and that is what I shot my sanctioned 300 games on and like you I fell
short on getting the sanctioned 800 series but I did get quite a few non-
sanctioned 800 series on the wooden lanes.

I'll be in Plattsburg on June 13th for sure to bowl on the wood if nothing
drastic happens between now and then I'm really looking forward to get
back on the wood lanes for a change to see if I remember how to bowl on
    them.

No mike I don't forget important things like THAT. I have a journal I keep next to my computer entitled, " Facts that don't matter much to me"!

You need a journal on ICEMAN! Flash back, I have only been bowling for 4 years, WAY after Wood has gone the way of the real cotton diaper!
so you shot 300 on wood! My uncle who is just 1 year older then Ice, threw I know One for sure on wood back in the 60's! Art Malone, got the ring and all the goodies that go with it! I really believe Iceman could roll a 300 on wood, I just need some time,,, remember this, its much HARDER to bowl a 300 in Plattsburg then it was on the lanes your bowled for your 300! (((MUCH MORE CHALLANGING)), do to the fact they change the oil pattern every week!

Not the same old pattern that you finally got your 300 on! As far as my short time on wood, I have had a high 254, close, and recently had the awards posted below,,, MIKE its just a matter of time before I knock off a 300 on the Wood! How many YEARS did you bowl to get that, what was it, 791???

Remember my mikeie, I am new to bowling, (4 years), you have had a life time... I will get that 300 on wood! GIVE ICE a little time, damn, I have only been bowling on wood on league for 3 months!! HOW MANY YEARS did it bowl the wood for your ONE 300 game, and almost 800?

You talk the TALK,,, BE HERE June the 13,,, prove to Ice you are the wood-worker-you-say-you-are!! Talk is cheap,,,, Don't worry,,, I doubt Aslan will be here! Show us your super hero ability on wood.

Maybe be the second person to have thrown a non sanctioned 300 on these lanes of wood!

You talk like its so FRICKEN EASY now because the lanes are not inspected ect ect... If true, I wonder why your not rolling a 300/800s every other week?

Yes Mike the lanes are soooooooo easy here,,, come on down to the Show Me State, and prove your manliness on the Wood/Synthetic lanes here!
They do have the USBC inspect their lanes, and certify them each year.

Even all new bowling pins at the start of this season.

If you bowl a 300 game while here, I will have a USBC inspector on hand, to make sure that they are as TOUGH as they were back when you almost got that 800!

I actually looked at that but the ticket was a bit higher on Southwest. And I don't think with my 4-ball roller that I can split it in two and have both be under 50lb. Maybe though. I'd have to see if both bags disconnect from the roller part. I know the top one does. But the ticket on Southwest would have been about $270 more. So if I could manage all 6 balls like you did...that brings the total cost down $180.

    ding ding ding!!!

If Iceman wants to move the AVI Challenge East...he's going to have to actually WIN the AVI Challenge. Or at least hope that Mudpuppy does!
