Review:
The New Motiv Jackal is a hook monster. I am about 3-5 more boards left of anything I have thrown by Motiv before. The ball uses the same Predator Core as the Talon but has a super strong reactive pearl cover that is fantastic. The main difference I see is that the Jackal is much cleaner through the front than the Talon, retaining energy for large track flare, a big backend move and hit. It is always nice to see a big hooking ball that does not read too early and saves power for great pin carry and drive. The Jackal loves oil with the box finish and pin up or pin down drillings. My pin up layout drillings made sharper angles down lane than the pin down layouts. This is a great addition to the Motiv line. Motiv has come out with some awesome equipment but this is a large leap in hook compared to the last few releases.
One of the best features of this ball is that it takes surface adjustments so easily and is amazing polished.
The Jackal still hooks a ton when polished but enhances the backend and demolishes the pins. The Jackal is very forgiving when you miss right or turn the ball too early. This ball is on the top of the hook chart for Motiv and will not disappoint. The Jackal has a great logo and color dull or polished. Everybody that comes in the shop comments on how good it looks. The Jackal has got off to a fast start at our shops and I believe could be the best selling Motiv I have had so far. If you bowl in a flood, have a lower rev rate or fast speed you will love this ball.

Summary:
A ton of hook with strong backend motion.
Excellent hit and carry. Very forgiving ball.
A great ball for heavy oil.
Works great dull or polished.
This is a great piece to have if you bowl on wet lanes or tournaments with longer patterns.
