A) Plattsburg is stupid for not having cable

B) Bowling always trumps football unless you move (like me) and only get 1-3 chances to watch your team a year.

C) You have maybe 3 years left to bowl before your elderly body is forced to retire to lazy-boy chairs...might as well take advantage of it while it lasts.

Plattsburg is out in Farmville. They wouldn't even know how to operate cable.

Their head would explode with a choice of more than 5 channels.

Chiefs are playing on Thursday evening, at the same time I drive to Plattsburg to bowl on Wood! They do NOT ,,, NOT have cable, and will not have the Chiefs playing the Raiders at the lanes!! GRRRRRRR!!!!! double GRRRRRRR!!

My son has a huge home entertainment room with a HD projector tv , with a HUGE SCREEN! Crystal Clear imagine with surround sound the whole ball of wax!

He and I bowl together on that league.

Anyway he just called and said that he was not going to bowl, but rather watch the Chiefs that are, ( I believe 8-2) kick the Losing Oakland Raiders ask!!

I said ,,,, grrrrrr,,, I hate to miss bowing,,,,, let me think about it,,, he then said he would supply drinks and pizza,,, lots of pizza!!!

PIZZA??? Iceman loves Pizza,,, he really knows how to hit me below the belt!!!! ...... your thoughts.......

Should ICEMAN:

1. go bowl in plattburg on the beautiful wood lanes with the farm boys

or

2. Go eat lots of pizza, and watch the Chiefs kick the Raiders rear!!

Chiefs are tired now with Denver for first place!!

A Projector and the large screen it produces isn't really good for watching a sporting event in a personal setting.

In a movie, they are careful to keep the action located in the center of the screen.

At sporting events the action moves around a lot more.

The distance your eyes have to move from left to right, can ultimately give you a headache.

My screen is about 12 feet wide, and I sit about 20 feet away. Great for movies, Bad for sports.

REALLY???????!~ We may be in Farmville, but we're not "hicks". Heck, we do have running water and electricty! Shucks, we have more that 5 channels on our local stations. Iceman just needs to let you know he wants to spend time with his son instead of bowling. It's okay, we'll be watching the same game in Plattsburg just on a 42" screen instead a theater screen. Wow,,, just found out that they are going to broadcast on a major local channel here in Kansas City, so won't need the NFL Network Channel!

If that isn't proof the lanes are too easy, nothing ever will be.

Well, I only did it ONCE. It was actually one of my first practices after Concourse put in their new synthetic lanes. 184-242-254 back in May. I have a theory that after the first month they laid down more oil because starting in June things went downhill.
