Really MIKEY???? REALLY the integrity is gone! Does that mean all the hundreds of people who come up to me and say, Iceman,,, I have been bwoing for over 37 1/2 years and have NEVER had a 300 like you. Are you saying they are subhuman?? Are you saying they are less then YOU!
What are you Mike White? Do you think of yourself as a GOD! Do you think your God's gift to bowling, and (((in the day when it was tough)))), you ruled.
Mikey,,,please,,, people are about as tired of me bring up my 300's , and several 700's I've been having lately, as they are of you and your constantly typing about EASY OIL!!
EASY OIL is a phrase that every time I read it from you I have to leave the room and take a dump!
YOU Insult the thousands of good bowlers that have not had a 300, nor 800 yet.
Do us all a favor and put a lid on the OLD DAYS PLEASE!!!
Hey Mikey,,, have a GREAT Thanksgiving!!
Don't walk on Thin Ice!
Before our AMF house closed our non-sanctioned league had the same thing that you can only have one category. The only way you got to see your stats in reality was on our sheets they had a section called Last Weeks Top Scores. Here you could have your name everywhere. But they also had a section called Season High Scores. Here each person could only have one spot. I didn't care for this kind of thing either. Each person should have to work for what he/she gets. If you didn't get first place in something then work for it like the person in reality did. You shouldn't be getting first place in a category if you are not in first place.
What they should do with standing sheets is take each category like for instance Scratch Game men/women and list the people from first place to last place so everyone could see how they stack up to everyone in the league. If you don't like where you are in the standings then put in the work to improve yourself and work your way up higher in the Scratch Game category. There will be folks that will have the incentive to get better and there will be folks that don't care and don't mind being in last place. In the Handicap Game category a person not that good can change their standing from what it was in the Scratch Game category to a higher level because they have a higher handicap then the folks with lower handicaps that are better bowlers. That is why it is a handicap league to level the playing field.
So wah wah wah I am with ICEMAN on this one and I will be 68 soon. So if a young guy or gal can't bowl better then an old guy like me then put in the work like I did to bowl better and jump above me in a category. You shouldn't get something you don't deserve. It's not reality.

Arsenal: Raw Hammer Orange/Black Hybrid 14lbs, Blue Hammer urethane 14lbs, Columbia 300 Lava Ball Plastic 14lbs, Highest scratch series 710 Bowling 38 years Never hit that 300 game. Highest game 276, had 11 strikes and one spare in the middle of that game.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH Hammer,,, YOU are a REAL MAN!! I've been in sports my whole life, and never have I seen a stat sheet that was not Reality! MAN-UP, WOMAN-UP! When your running around with a FAKE STAT SHEET, Saying look at ME I have the high Scratch game of 83,,, Whoooooppppiiiieeee!!! WAKE UP CALL,,,, its not REALITY!! Get a coach, if you don't have the gift, and make that imaginary scratch game a reality!!
I will bring this up so help me god in every league I am in from this day forward.
keep the stats accurate!!
( I don't have a big problem with money, which is what it is now days in most leagues, being limited to High average, and one other category. I even like an award for most improved. Iceman does have a heart,,, its just two sizes too small!
Don't walk on Thin Ice!
I agree with ftlob. In my mixed league you can be listed on the season for whatever you've done... but at the end of the season you win one prize. Order of importance usually goes High avg, high series, high game (scratch) then the team stuff. One person can sweep but everyone gets a chance to win. This works out really well for a fun, less comepetitive league.
Tuesday league is up to true stats and is much more competitive. For a $$ league that's more serious I am totally on board with true stats/awards and wouldn't like it a different way. In this one handicap awards are given out as well so everyone does get a chance in that sense.
I know YOU don't need my forgiveness Mikey,,, but for some ODD,, STRANGE,, maybe even SICK reason, I am giving it to YOU! Being a Bowling God, hearing your prayers EVERY NIGHT, about THS, and how easy it is NOW DAYS, ((is wearing not only me OUT,, but several other gods.))
I would rather be crazy then someone that is crazier then me!! You fit that bill mike.... I really think easy house oil fried your brain!
One big difference between you and me, besides me being better looking, and about a foot taller, is your a common mortal! I am a GOD!
When you pray at night,,,,, I NOW hear your prayers Mikey..... be careful what you pray for,,,, I just might give it to you!
I think that Rubber Ducky you want for you nightly hot bath is not an unrealistic request for Christmas, the part that's going to be hard for me to
accomplish is a Rubber Duck that keeps saying, while in bath water, HOUSE OIL is NOT What It Use to be,.... over and over!!
but the Can of Old time Lane Oil, to be used by YOU and your better half while doing the,,,,, wild,,,,, Well that's just slick,,,or is it SICK!
Request denied, not just by ICEGOD, but ODEN himself!
Don't walk on Thin Ice!
Huh. You could say that about any sport, though. sometimes a "world championship" team wins by a score of 2. Or 7. Even if the "loser" loses by 1 point, they've lost just as much as if they'd lost by 70.
The game of bowling (aw we know) has its success determined by how many pins you knock down. A slow domino-effect strike counts just as much as one that shatters the pins with a mighty explosion of power. Does it really matter if the pins are knocked down by a rubber ball, a high-end reactive ball, on wood, or on synthetic, or with what kind of oil pattern? Is Michael Phelps any less of an athlete than Mark Spitz? Is Peyton Manning any less a quarterback than Broadway Joe? You tell me, and, while you're at it, tell me by what standards you're doing the measuring.
