I'm looking for something that performs well on medium to wet lanes.

Before you start getting flooded with all brands of bowling balls lets get some information about your current arsenal:

    1. What other equipment are you currently throwing?
    2. Do you know your rev rate? How about your ball speed?
    3. How does your current equipment react on this condition? Does it react too late, does it not hook enough, etc.?
    4. What do you want the ball to do on the Medium/Wet lanes? Are you trying to cover a lot of boards or play it straight up?

I'm using a new ebonite crush/r. This is (from what I understand) a rebadge of the ebonite cyclone, made for Dick's Sporting goods.

I get very little to no hook with this thing on wet lanes.

    Medium it's okay-ish.

    It's terrible for dry.

My ball speed is approx 14MPH.

Rev rate I don't know yet.

On wet lanes I want it to cover a lot of boards. I don't want it to be excessive on medium however.

Most every ball is stronger than the Ebonite Cyclone. And most every ball can be had for $150 or less.

Take a look at Ebonite's website if you like that brand. The Cyclone is entry level...try a ball from the next level up or 2 levels up.

Odds are you won't see a huge amount of difference without improving your release, rather than the ball; but it's worth a try if ya got the dough. Just don't get your hopes up too high.

There are a lot of good balls out there and in most areas can be had for less than $150 I would talk with a pro shop and get some recommendations based on your game after they have watched you throw some balls.

Thanks for the input people. I've heard good things about the Rotogrip Totally Defiant. The Hammer Bad A$$ seems to be an 'it' ball right now too. Any opinions on this?

I'm not married to any particular brand. Nor do I want to spend money just to spend money. Just interested to see something that performs well in heavy oil. My current ball's sweet spot seems to be somewhere between light and medium.

The Totally Defiant is asymmetric I usually don't suggest those to people who have not developed a very consistent release. I'm not sure where you are with that also that's a big jump from your Cyclone. I would suggest maybe looking at a Rotogrip Hysteria, Asylum, Disturbed or Brunswick Melee Cross or Jab all of these are symmetrical cores and maybe easier to handle.
