Thread: Website for bowling scores??

    Default Website for bowling scores??

I'm assuming the USBC has something like this for it's members...

But what if there were a "central repository" website that you could go to where you could put in your game scores, type of game (i.e. practice or open, league, tournament, etc.) and have the site keep track of your scores and running average? The site could also break down average by type of game, length of time (past month, past six months, whatever), or other criteria (maybe by bowling center if you bowl in multiple centers).

Would you use something like that?

I would think bowling centers would.

If you have a a smartphone, there are apps for that.

Personally, I use PinPal for iPhone. I log every single league and tournament frame in it as I bowl. I don't track practice as I don't bowl for score when I get some practice games in.

Actually, there IS a PBA endorsed website/app for bowling scores. It's here and it's called RollTech.

From what I understand, it combines a bowling scoring App like PinPal with the actual centers so you can do virtual matches, etc… Kinda like those games you see at bars where you're competing against people at some bar somewhere else.

I was tempted to switch from PinPal to RollTech but I just have too much data on PinPal to start over.

It's a great idea - I think the centers need to be on board with it though in order to synch up. Mine personally isn't but I'm waiting for it to - it'll be like pinpal without all the manual entering :P

I made my own spreadsheet in Excel to track my league scores. I also put notes in it from week to week. I track things like average, # 200 games and 600 series with, high and low scores and series, average by game number, and percentages of each.... This gives me an idea of how i do from game to game and what range of scores I bowl.
