Not always true my Avg was way low and my equipment was not getting the job done. I'm using a crux and zero G and now I'm avg. 45 pins more every gamebut for the most part he is very right.
Well, if Mike or JScrub or anyone else has a "magical ball" that will get me some 300 games, a 200+ average, and an 800 series....I'd GLADLY pay $300 for it.
Granted...if it isn't that magical...and doesn't get me those things....I expect that I can have it for free.
Let me know if there are any takers on the above offer!! #foolsmoneyeasilyparted

Smokey this is not 'Nam', this is bowling. There are rules. Proud two-time winner of a bowlingboards.com weekly ball give-away!
Each of the four of my balls in the past four years have cost $100 or less. I'm averaging 200. The type/cost of a ball really depends on what type of ball/reaction you are looking for. I always look to fill a gap in my balls. Right now, I have a heavy oil, medium and spare ball. (my other ball is dead). I have a gap between medium and heavy oil that I need to take care of in the near future.
Lower rg especially is smart to get the ball to rev up quicker because you state you have a lower rev rate. You said your average is up 45 pins. Is that from last year or from the start of this season? What average are at now? Glad to hear of your improvement, that is an impressive increase!
Price of the ball doesn't dictate the quality of the ball all the time. Lots of great mid level choices like the Roto Grip Wrecker which I got for $99 and average well over 200 with it.
