Thread: Anybody have recommendations on a decent slow mo camera?

Default Anybody have recommendations on a decent slow mo camera?

I'd like something that will do at least 1080p at 120 fps, I'd also like it be able to quick autofocus on the hand release, then the ball going down the lane.

Something that can produce videos more or less this quality:

I have a camera phone that can do 60fps, but it's a fixed zoom and you can barely see the ball by the time it hits the pins.

I'd like to spend $300 or less.

Go pro wouldn't be what you want, and bowling digital most likely has a very expensive camera. but I don't know anything about buying one so can't help there

This is what I use for working on my golf swing. http://www.cnet.com/products/casio-exilim-ex-fc100/
I bought it used from a golf forum for 100.00. I see them for sale on ebay every once in awhile.
I'm going to try and record myself this weekend when I go bowling. I hope my ego can handle seeing myself bowl, lol !

To see if this is right for you, here's the manual. http://support.casio.com/storage/en/..._M10_FB_EN.pdf

My buddy uses a free program (free you have to deal with adds) on his phone that makes any video frame by frame slo-mo ... I will message him and get the name of the program. I will post it up when he lets me know ...

I use this miniature tripod when I'm at the driving range. It wraps around the handle on my golf bag. I use a regular tripod when I hit into my practice net at home.
I'm hoping that I can use it at the bowling center tomorrow.

I have one of those but I found a regular tripod set up at the back of the ball return works best during practice at the alley. however a regular tripod tends to take up space so it isn't ideal when crowded which is why i usually shoot my practice videos in the morning when the alley is mostly empty.
