That really stinks I hope they take care of you on it. I have never lost two balls in a night that must really bite

What sucks is all I have for league is my spare ball, and they just increased the length of the oil, rendering that ball useless .
Get a large roll of double stick tape, and lots of wet/dry sandpaper, and tape the sandpaper to the outside of your spare ball.

If you do a REALLY GOOD job, nobody would notice.

Or, get a new ball from the pro-shop and send the bill to the center.

UPDATE!! The center called me and said they would replace both balls -- no problem! They gave me a $313 budget, and replaced my Legend at the same price I paid-- $165. They can't get me a new Marauder, but I already have a replacement that's getting drilled tomorrow. ( tried to get it drilled tonight but pro shop had a drill machine malfunction.)
So I have $158 to go towards ANY ball I want. I spent the evening going thru ball specs. Going to get something with a " solid " coverstock. Going to the center tomorrow to see what they will agree to get me, and get both balls ordered. They will be in by Thursday. Just a matter of getting them drilled.

Good news! Some centers won't replace damaged equipment so that is great that they did.

That's awesome news! 3 bowling balls for the price of 2 damaged ones. Not bad at all. Do you have any idea about what ball you're interested in getting?

Well, I got my new balls ordered. I replaced the Black Widow Legend, and went with a Brunswick Melee Cross. I nearly bought the Cross once before, and it was every dollar of what I had left. Almost went withthe Storm Hyroad Solid . The numbers between the two are nearly identical, and since I have several Brunswick/DV8 balls already, I stayed with Brunswick. I'll let everyone know how they roll once I get them drilled up next week or so.

At least there is a happy ending to your story. I read this while looking for advice. I know how it is to loose a ball. Someone liked my spare ball and decided to take it home... My replacement ball is the wrong weight which is my fault but thats all that the shop had i didnt think 1 lb would make a difference and the bridge is wrong even though i had the same guy drill it.. Im not the kind of person to say anything to him about it. Maybe i should be or maybe i just take my equipment elsewhere.

I would say something and give him the chance to correct it. We all make mistakes. We can only learn from the ones that we know and acknowledge.
