Default Which DV8 Agressive Ball to Choose

I am still quite new to the sport of bowling only really starting to learn how to bowl properly six months ago. I got the Ebonite Cyclone because it was a good value not knowing anything about bowling. Back then I was throwing straight and had no clue how to bowl. I have since learned quite a bit about how to bowl and can hook the ball to a certain point. In the past month I realized that on the house shots I bowl on my cyclone is only really useful for me if I play on the outside part of the lane.

My ball speed is about 15-16 mph and I would assume that I have low revs. Right now I have the pin above my ring finger with fingertip grips. My average is in the mid 130s.

I am looking into getting a new ball that is plenty Agressive so I can play a more inside line rather than just straight up and in. I looked at many different companies and balls and found that DV8 intrigued me the most.

I am going to buy a new ball in the next month or so and so far the Thug Unruly looks the best. I also saw things such as the Ruckus balls and some others. Does anyone have any recommendations as to what I should get that can be aggressive enough?

The Thug Unruly is their most "aggressive" cover stock ball. They have a lot of choices, but picking a ball based on aggressiveness isn't always good choice. To be honest, their equipment plays a lot of different lines. Just because it's agressive, doesn't mean you'll be able to stand way inside and hook it properly.

Basically you need to pick a ball that not only suits you, but also the conditions you play on. I love my original Thug, but I've altered the surface on it to play different than the box finish. With how I bowl, I didn't like how far left I had to stand with the box finish.

If your a low rev player, you are limited to how much you can move, if you move to much and your speed changes (in an attempt to hook the lane more), your pin carry can suffer.

Again this is just my opinion. If you want a ball with great hook "potential" get the Unruly. I know two people who throw it, they both love the ball. I'd love to try it myself, but I feel it might be too strong of a ball for myself.

Now if you are looking at their ruckus line, I have the original ruckus in my bag. It's drilled pin up, it reads the lane way sooner than my original Thug. If you want something stronger than the original ruckus, the ruckus feud is rated as one of dv8's strongest balls.

If you have any other dv8 questions, let me know. I love their products, I also bowl in a small league with a dv8 staff member.

The Thug Unruly can handle surface changes up to 4000 Abralon. So if you get one and it hooks too early and rolls out on you, have the pro shop alter the surface and hit it with some polish.
Another great DV8 is the Ruckus Feud. It's probably their best ball. It plays multiple angles, takes surface changes great, and can be used by low and high rev players. You may have to get this ball off of EBAY, but there are plenty of them on there.
I'm a medium rev player, around 15 mph at the pins ( 18 off my hand ) and use a DV8 Marauder Mutiny and the original Thug. Two 300's with the Marauder this season.
