I'm starting to figure this out real quick. Lanes are so different from center to center, lane to lane. It is frustrating and I don't think I have enough knowledge to start fiddling with more balls. Still working on fundamentals and being consistent

All of this is very true.

Since I've "came back" to bowling after a long absence, I've dedicated myself to actually learning the game. Previously, I was a guy who, in YABA, frustrated coaches because I threw a nice ball, but didn't care enough to learn/adjust. I didn't practice a ton--just showed up on match/tournament/league day, threw the ball, and averaged in the upper 160s/low 170s.

But, with help from my PSO/local center, RobLV1 and others on this board.....I've had a true education about today's game, equipment and lanes over the past few months. I don't profess/mean to come across like "I'm awesome, I've got it and will never lose it", but for the first time, I understand why things happen, how to match lane conditions to balls (although I'm still building my arsenal), and the importance of shot repeatability and timing.

So, much thanks to this board and others who have helped! Next season, my goal is to bowl more regularly in local tournaments, and see what happens.
