    Default bowling ball weight question

I saw on some ball selling website what the definition of a 16 pound bowling ball was. Before drilling it can weigh over 16 pounds BUT it can also weigh less than 16 pounds to start but isn't considered a 15 pound ball until it gets down to a specific weight. Anyone else seen this? Or know what I'm talking about?
I have two balls that are undrilled that are both 16 pound balls. One is 16lbs 2oz. The other is 15 lbs 15 oz. I was thinking the cutoff was around 15 lbs 6 oz before it was considered a true 15 pound ball.

Yep. I think it's good that the manufacturer is allowed a little leeway just like with the pin-cg position/topweight

I honestly can't remember what the cutoffs for weight are. Though I do remember thinking they had a huge range that they could error within.
