Subbed in a morning league and using the Hy-Road 198-208-165-191 for a 762 or 190.5 per game avg

Still missed a few more spares than I would like and didn't adjust enough early in the 3 rd game so started off with 3 opens.
Did manage to get the 6/10 pins dialed in , in fact only missed one, it was 6/10 and I slipped the ball outside the 6 and just got the 10 !

Overall I'm fairly happy with today's bowling.

Wed Night league started off slow, had 2 7-10 leaves on near pocket hits in 1st game 1 150-220-205 575 / 192

Bowled thur am sub, 193, 232, 147, 208 / 780 .....the really sad part was on the 232 and the 208 I opened in the 10th
could have been a 268 and 243 with 3 strikes

game 2 was x 7 2 x x x x x x x 6 3

Funny part was the lanes were a little dry , so I bowled the first 3 games with the DV8 outcast and the last game went with the Hy-road

Had a good night on the Wed league , 223 - 203 -180 606 / 202

Bowled in the Friday morning league, this a 4 game league

212 - 222 - 191 - 217 3 game 625 / 4 game 842 Ave 210

Not bad considering I was averaging 176 in this league.

Won 40 points last with just 2 of us (out of three)
Won 46 points / 0f 50 , I think that puts us in third place.

I realized that I have not posted much in here lately, and frankly wasn't anything much to report, several low and mid 500 series , today looked like another one of those days, Fri morning league shot a whopping 147...We were bowling a position round against the number one team and I was up against their top bowler who is also the high average of the league 237 or so.
I was watching the line being played by another of their players who is also carrying a 230 average.

i moved a little and lined up left foot on 22 throwing out at 15 at the dots and 11-12 at the arrows. I was keeping my hand behind the ball more and just rolling it down the lane. Low and behold I kept getting strikes and ended up with 225-245-241 to finish out the series. I even ended up winning points on game 2 ,3 and 4.
The Reverend on their team even offered me his free drink ticket and one of the other guys suggested I might want to rest that ball and use another ball ..... fun group of guys to bowl with! ( I was using a Storm IQ Tour 30 )

Wed night league, started out pretty good but left the 10th open on the first two games , miserable finishes and did miss a couple of exisisting Did strike / spare 10th in game 3 192-185-200 577
considering with a mark in the 10th should have made it over 600, not great scores, but could be worse.

Wed night league, the guys we played had a great night the low man was a 674, one guy had a low 700 and the other 2 were over 750!
Lucky we won any games at but we did get one
I had a pretty good night, still had trouble finishing the game, had opens in the 10 in game 1 and 3

Hmm... four open tenths in six games? One thing you need to figure out: is it a fear of failure, or a fear of success. Either can be devestating, but figuring it out will make it easier to address. I once had a student who was in a similar situation. At one lesson he threw the first strike in the tenth, and I asked him what he was going to do next. He replied, "Throw the next two." I handed him two bowling balls at once, and he got the point. The tenth frame is like any other frame, as long as you take it one shot at a time.

Yes, now that you mention it I usually walk up in the 10th thinking about what my max score would be if I strike out, I would say that's not taking one shot at a time !
