Awesome clean game save!
Picked up this spare leave to save my clean game.....
I had a couple strikes in the third game on league night and I was leaving easy spares to pick up. In the eight frame my ball hit a little high and I left the 6-8-10 pin. My thought right after was Oh no! I knew how my ball was working that night so I just thought that I will pretend that I just have to go after the 6/10 like I did a few times that night. As luck would have it the ball hit the right side of the 6 pin just enough to throw it into the 8 pin for a spare. I finished the 9th frame with a spare and the 10th frame with a spare/strike. That 6-8-10 pick up got me some high fives and some nice pick up from the folks around me on our league. We bowl every other Saturday on our league and I missed the Saturday before this one because of the flu. That means that I didn't bowl for a month and had no practices either. Having bowled for 28 years in this league sure helps out in situations like this.

Well done! And may I ask, what was your score for that game?
It was only a 186 because I couldn't string any strikes. I think I had a total of three strikes. I started out with a strike in the first frame and I got another strike in the 10th frame after my spare in the 10th. The other one was around the 5th frame. The other frames I was leaving one or two pins after the first ball that I picked up of course. So it wasn't a high score but it was a clean game and I always like those even if the score isn't a high score of 200+.Originally Posted by HowDoIHookAgain

Hey, a clean game is a clean game, lol. And if you look at it frame-to-frame, and not by points, it looks even better with how many spares you got!
Having marks in every frame with no opens does look impressive.

Oh yeah. I remember making that split back when I was bowling in a high school baker game. Good pickup!
