Thread: Best looking balls

    Default Best looking balls

Ok, time to get superficial. What ball looks the best (especially when rolling down the lanes)

    My picks are:

    Roto Grip Wrecker
    Roto Grip Sinister
    Storm Optimus

I think the color combinations make them look nice going down the lane. And if I had to pick on it would be the Sinister. Love that green combo

The ball that looks the best is the one that goes through the pins with the result of knocking them all down!

I look at the balls very subjectively. Maybe it's just me, but it seems like I can tell which balls are hitting with a lot of energy and which aren't. They just "look good" as they move and hit the pins. To that end, my faves are the roto Grip Wrecker, Melee cross, and Hammer Black Widow Red Legend. In no particular order.

I saw a brunswick mastermind scholar in person last month, it was the freakin gorgeous. that and the optimus, the respect by 900 global, and the new tag by motiv (just a green logo but i like it)

You've got that right! I have some fun when I can help someone to knock down more pins. It's what I do. Most of the bowlers here are looking for some meaningful input into their games. In the overall bowling picture, how the ball looks going down the lane falls somewhere between what color of shoe laces you have on your bowling shoes, and how many rolls of toilet paper are in each stall in your bowling center.

Colors and Smells do nothing as we know. I would ask the designers to take in consideration something in the color scheme that helps identify what the ball is doing.
    Occasionally this does happen.

Sometimes you need to look beyond the colors.

A guy I was bowling against recently took my White Dot home with him thinking it was his Crux.

I understand where you're coming from completely. BUT... as we all know, any sport is more than just about scoring points; it's also about the pageantry. That's why the fans have big foam fingers, do the wave, and paint their faces. It's why there are cheerleaders and organ music and megatron scoreboards and marching bands. Otherwise, all uniforms would just be black or white. Similarly, part of bowling just is the pageantry of smart-looking bowling balls that move well. Do they help knock down more pins? No. But they help add to the excitement and general enjoyment of the game. I like my misfit better than my old S3D Classic. Not just because it's a "better bowling ball," (although that's part of it), but because it looks better rolling down the lane.

Golf knickers didn't help Payne Stewart win, either. But they added to the pageantry of the game. And that's important!
