    Default Used hammer ball question?

Pardon me if this has been asked but I know someone with a Black Widow Assassin I can acquire for about 50 dollars the problem I have is there is a small crack between the fingers holes. I think I can get away with only re-drilling the thumb hole how major will the crack be ?

Sometimes a bridge crack isn't a big deal sometimes it widens and gets worse I wouldn't invest the money in the plug and redrill if he gave me the ball myself.

I'd never invest a cent in a ball that's cracked.

I had a crack on the bridge. PSO plugged and redrilled and filled the crack. It happened at the bowling alley so they paid for it. Not sure how much he charged them though

I've seen it both ways. Had a teammate that had one crack in the bridge on one ball it was repaired still bowling with it a year later. Had another ball do it and even after the repair is spidered out the rest of the way out around the finger holes until the ball was junk. You just can't tell.

Exactly why I am just going to buy a new one. They are 135 new plus drilling . I would hate to have 80-95 in the "used" ball and end up buying a new one anyway.

I have had a ball crack between the pin and the finger holes (spydered) and my PSO drilled it out, plugged it and redrilled it, since it was no longer available anywhere and was my favorite ball it was well worth it and performance was identical to before. I also had a Storm Hyroad crack between the fingers in the bridge since I can repair this myself I removed the inserts and used a Master kit to repair it. this ball although still available was cheap to repair and thus far has been a good ball. My PSO when asked showed me how to repair scratches. gouges and chips and I now do all this myself. this very gratifying. the materials are readily available and not expensive.
