i live within a couple hours of Kegel Training Center. I am a new bowler and although I've had some pretty good games and after just completing my first league my average jumped 40 pins. My problem is even if I bowl a good game for me (160+), I feel I'm just doing it all wrong. Bad timing, bad balance, inconsistent follow thru and retched release technique. I've had games where I was happier bowling 130-140 and everything felt good than when I've bowled 180-200 and just felt like I was doing everything wrong.
So my question is, am I too new at this to benefit from an advanced training center like Kegel? I've been thinking of taking a couple one day training sessions to hopefully learn things right before I spend so much time doing things wrong it's an uphill battle to unlearn them. It looks like a fine training facility but since I haven't developed a consistent release and approach I'm wondering if that makes it harder for them to find my true flaws and set me on the right path.

Some of the prices I've seen on the Kegel center are pretty high. I think you could get more regular lesson for the same amount of money especially at your current skill level. It doesn't take a gold level coach to teach proper setup and arm swing.
I live about 70 miles away and want to go visit it just to see the different patterns bowled on. It would be neat to run into Norm Duke or Walter Ray since they both live close to me also. Someone told me Walter Ray is doing some coaching for the Villages High School bowling team.

I would see if there are any Silver or Gold Level coaching before going there. Most coaches at that level charge around $50/hour, which I'm sure is less than the Kegel Center.
Hey Jessiewoodward57 you must be close to me. I live in same city as WRW Jr and Norm is just down the road in Clermont. Saw them both at The Villages Senior ProAm event. Norm is just an awesome guy, Walter ran over my wife's foot with his ball bag.
I live in Bushnell about 20 miles away, would love to run into them at an event ..The Pro Shop I use (RSW in Lady Lake) has all kinds of signed Walter Ray memorabilia and I hear Walter Ray is one of the bowling coaches for the Villages High Bowling team. We bowl out of Leesburg AMF. Every Saturday 4pm till midnight that's where you'll find us. I am one of the few in a power chair
