Many people first took notice of MOTIV when the legendary Primal Rage (Redball) was released two years ago. (I still have that ball in my active arsenal). When I heard about the new Primal Rage Remix – I was very excited. MOTIV put a new Raw Fusion Hybrid Cover on the unique Impulse Core. The Remix is everything the Redball is, but stronger!

Many times balls that are designed for heavy oil are early rollers, but this not the case for the Remix. The Remix is now my go-to ball when I’m looking for some back end on the longer heavy oil patterns.

Here is a video of me rolling the Remix on the Bourbon Street and PBA Shark Patterns. I compare the ball motion to the original Primal Rage, Jackal, Forza, Venom Panic, Graffiti Tag, and Ascent Apex.



When I throw the Remix I can feel the energy as it makes it’s move on the back end. It seems to gather momentum when it hits the break-point and explode through the pins. Since I have a pretty high rev-rate, I do need some oil for the Remix… but that’s what it’s designed for! There are several Motiv options for lighter oil (Tag, Ascent Apex to name a couple). But lower rev-rate players could certainly use the Remix on a variety of conditions.

When I’m bowling on long oil, the Remix allows me to relax and throw the ball with confidence. I know the ball will do the work, so I don’t need to try and help it to the pocket. Sometimes a little confidence is all you need to bowl your best!
