Exclamation Look how dirty my brand new ball got after a series at my AMF house

I was going to just title it "dirty balls" but figured that would not get many views other than porn searches.

I noticed during practice how horribly marked up my ball was getting. Figured I'd take a picture to share.

Yuck Hopefully it comes off with Cleaner. Any scratches or gouges?

That's pretty nasty. I've never seen anything that dirty from my house. You could have told me there were 50 games on the ball and I still would have believed it.

Wow--I'd be notifying the staff if my balls looked that dirty!

Dirt I can deal with. It's the scratches and deep gouges.

When I purchased my Cyclone I went to many bowling alleys depending on cost and how I felt. Literally 4-5 sprinkled around the area. My ball got beat up a lot. Scratches etc.

Now with my Unhinged I bowl exclusively at the one where I bowl league. Their lanes and ball returns are clean. No dirt, dust, scratches, etc on my Unhinged yet. Could be that the Unhinged uses a stronger coverstock but if you compare the two balls it's like one has been in WWII and the other just off the rack.

Not to hijack the thread....but how is the Unhinged working for you?

I only have to compare it to my Cyclone but it is very nice and smooth. I have no reservations about it hooking back to the pocket. With the Cyclone there were many times it would just not hook back. Of course I don't use the Cyclone much anymore so it could be that my release is better with more hand in it now but I constantly start at 5th arrow or more aiming around 3rd arrow. With the Cyclone it was 3-4th arrow at most.

If I knew how to post a pic, I have one of my Brunswick Melee Cross that looks like that after 3 games . Brand new ball too . I was not happy.

I noticed the same thing with my Cross, as with my Teal Rhino Pro and Lane #1 THS before it. All three similar looking solid teal balls. Although the Cross is so far easy to clean, especially compared to the THS.

Photo is so out of focus can't tell whats a smudge and what is in the coverstock design of the ball.

Oh, and that is one reason I will never bowl a league in an AMF house.
