Default Pro bowlers: Avg single pin spare conversion percentage?

I'm guessing it is around 95-97%

What would be an acceptable % for "regular" bowlers or what is your target conversion percentage.

I'll be happy with 90% but ok with 80%

I have no idea what my conversion percentage is, but I'd like it to be in the 90%+ range.

I'd be reasonably happy with an 85% spare conversion if you count all spares including splits.

If you can achieve an 85% spare rate, while maintaining a 50% strike rate, you'll average about 210.

If however you can increase your strike rate to 60%, you can average 210 by only making 50% of your spares.

Well my spare shooting has taken a nosedive. I do better on my 10 pins now that I go straight at it but still bowl with regular release on other spares. Problem is I have too much hand in my release now and get a bit "timid" on my spares and slow things down. Of course with a slower ball speed but same release ball is way over hooking. Just have to remind myself to maintain the same speed, approach, and release and adjust line and/or target.
