Our local center's "Summer Special" was $3.50 per game. That is the same as they charged league bowlers for open bowling last winter. Coaches and employees get a slight;y better rate. Regular open bowling is at least $5 per game.
John
One of my houses offers year round $1 a game for league members. Another house offers $8.25 then a quarter a game for as long as you want to bowl. The third house I bowl at offers a different promotion every day that usually works out to about $2 or slightly more a game. Regular open bowling ranges from $3.25 to $4.50 depending on the house but I never pay full rate anywhere.

We have a casino that USED TO have dollar games after 11:00 PM. I heard they are dropping this. They are keeping the .50 games on Friday between 9-11am.
It is a great deal and it usually gives a great chance to try your adjustments on oil. 2 weeks ago in 6 games I had over a dozen 10 pins. Last week I started practice with 5 straight 10 pins. Frustrating until I realized I NEEDED to practice making 10 pins.
Due to my schedule typical practice time would be on weekend mornings and the house I practiced at (not the one who screwed my league if you read the other post) raised their Saturday/Sunday morning rates from $0.99 per game to $5.49 per game. As you can expect the house is now dead on Saturday mornings.

It varies greatly.
Not counting the non-sanctioned luxury/gourmet places like Lucky Strike (because I'd only go there for a function or a date or something...I'd never frequent an abomination like that or actually practice there....
Brunswick centers offered 3 free games per week for league members.
Upside: Free
Downside: Couldn't use them during cosmic bowling and nearly every time there wasn't league play there was cosmic bowling.
AMF offers 2 free games a week for league members and they have $2 games on Monday nights, $3 games most other weeknights. They also have doen 2 hours for $13. And they've even done unlimited bowling for $13 on certain holidays.
The private centers are a little more costly....usually between $3 and $5.25 per game. The center I bowl league in I get $1 off...other center I think it's $0.75 off per game.
But just about every center...you can usually find some time/day where it's $2/game...it's just usually at a less convenient time.

Smokey this is not 'Nam', this is bowling. There are rules. Proud two-time winner of a bowlingboards.com weekly ball give-away!
On Mondays after 8PM it is $1.25 a game. That is the only time I practice and pay, but I do have several free games left from when I bought a ball, so I can use those when the regular rates are in effect. Not sure what those are, but they are much higher.
my center charges league bowlers $1.50/game for practice.
Won't be as bad as I thought found out league bowlers pay $1.95 per game
