Looking for your new benchmark ball? Look no further than the Motiv Forza Redline. By combining the controllable Torx core (2.50RG, .051Diff), first found in the Forza, with the brand new Helix Pearl Reactive coverstock (finshed at 5000 Grit LSP) a ball motion has been created that gives excellent read on the lanes without sacrificing hitting power. I drilled mine the same as the benchmark that I was currently throwing, the Sigma Sting, to test this ball’s mettle. Upon throwing them side by side I believe that the Redline is a great successor for this spot in the ball chart. The Redline clears the heads easily but once in the midlane you can really see the Torx going to work. I see the ball start to read without hooking too soon thereby giving me an accurate look at how the lane will play. When it comes time to transition from roll to hook the ball makes a strong but very controllable motion to the pocket where it drives through as though it lost no energy at all. Though a traditional pearl the ball is not unpredictably flippy which makes it very forgiving on the fresh and transition alike. While both the Sting and Redline have similar characteristics for me, the Redline hooks a bit sooner therefore giving me several more boards of overall motion. Whenever the lanes get tough and I need to control the pocket this little ball of sunshine will be just what I need.
